In the evening, wash the feet of the monks with seasonal water. In the evening, wipe the feet of the monks. If the monks do not wish to wash and wipe their feet, offer oil. That is most suitable for the lowest monasteries. In all respects, one should have control over what is obtained. Do not be negligent in the aspect of virtue. Because of giving the offering of investigating its essence, one should not cease the universal conduct towards monks who are not naturally abiding, as well as towards the Sangha that has not arrived and those who are completely cut off from that place. One should not completely abandon the many monks. One should strive to practice with those who are abiding and possess the Pratimoksha. There is no fault in staying overnight in another place, except for the purpose of supplementing the number of the Sangha. His universal conduct should be given to the Sangha. Giving the offering of investigating its essence, four or more should not interfere with the Sangha of one area. One hundred and one activities should be in accordance with the Sangha. All transgressions beyond the precepts are similar to a monk who is naturally abiding. One should not make requests to him. One should not accept his requests. A monk, a nun, a novice, and a novice nun should not touch him and prostrate. Giving the offering of investigating its essence, when requesting forgiveness, one will obtain natural abiding. If forgiveness is not requested, then one should learn in the same way, for as long as one lives, the ritual of conduct of giving the offering of investigating its essence as has been taught. Until he has promised, the conduct that should be practiced should be practiced in another place. If he requests forgiveness, then the order of obtaining natural abiding is as follows: he himself requests forgiveness from the Sangha, and the Sangha grants him forgiveness through exhortation and four karmas. The ritual and mantra for him to request forgiveness from the Sangha himself should be done as follows: After he himself has arranged the seat, he strikes the ghanta and admonishes the monks with words of inquiry. When all the Sangha is gathered and harmonious, he takes off his two shoes and places his upper robe on one shoulder.

Then, prostrate to the elders, squat beside the elders, join your palms in reverence, and say these words: "Venerable Sangha, please listen. I, the monk Charka, seeking his own nature, have caused my hair to stand on end, my hair to flutter, slandered the Sangha, gone to the place of appearance, similarly approached and shown myself, entered the boundary, requested forgiveness, and if I return from the root of any action that leads to reproach, then, compassionate venerable Sangha, for the sake of compassion, please forgive me, the monk Charka, for seeking his own nature." Repeat three times. This is oneself requesting forgiveness from the Sangha. The rite and karma of the Sangha forgiving him with a request and four karmas should be done as follows: After arranging the seats, strike the ghanta, and admonish the monks with words of inquiry. When all the Sangha has gathered and is in harmony, one monk should make a request and perform the karma. It should be done as follows: Sit down and say these words: "Venerable Sangha, please listen. The monk Charka, seeking his own nature, has caused his hair to stand on end, his hair to flutter, slandered the Sangha, gone to the place of appearance, similarly approached and shown himself, entered the boundary, requested forgiveness, and if he returns from the root of any action that leads to reproach, if the time is right for the Sangha and it forgives, may the Sangha grant it, and the Sangha has forgiven the venerable Charka for seeking his own nature."\ This is the request.
