Where should a Bhikshuni establish the teacher's door? Those who arrive suddenly should be equal in number to those who reside permanently, and those who arrive suddenly in large numbers should be in harmony with the day. It is not so for the few. Wherever all the tasks to be done are known, that is the place. Wherever it is not known, that is not the place. Wherever some know and some do not know, that is both a place and not a place. From such a place where there are monks, even if one goes to a place where monks reside in harmony on the day of the Uposatha, there is no downfall. If one goes to a place where there is dispute among monks, there is a misdeed. If going there will lead to touching happiness, even if one goes to a place where there are no monks, there is no downfall. If it will not lead to touching happiness, one should not go. If the entire Sangha has gone or an obstacle is near, there is no downfall. One who is dwelling should not be allowed to go to another place on the day of the Uposatha. Or one should be instructed: Go to the place where the Uposatha is performed. If one does not go there, it will become a serious offense. A monk should not stay and sit on the day of the Uposatha in a place where the Sutra is not recited. One should not enter early summer. Even if one has entered, one should not enter a second time. One should not dwell and perform the Uposatha with householders and others. One should perform the Uposatha with those who dwell in harmony, are completely pure, and have the same view. Even if the deaf and border people are complete in number, one should not perform the Uposatha. Whoever is alone should engage in sweeping, wiping, making cushions and bedding, etc., give the Dharma to be heard, and observe the monks who come suddenly. If there are none, one should sit on the cushion oneself and generate this thought, and also speak the words: This is also the fifteenth Uposatha of the Sangha, and I am also the fifteenth Uposatha of the monk named so-and-so, and I, the monk named so-and-so, am completely purified of all obstructing dharmas. In order to fully perfect the aggregate of morality, I, the monk named so-and-so, will today bless with the Uposatha. When the Sangha gathers and gains possessions, the Sangha
