It is with the acquired items and clothing. If needed, say "smell it." If begging from the third field, only give alms when the third sentence is spoken. Confess any wrongdoings. Do not allocate any doors, corridors, or rooms with stairs. Do not allocate while holding a stick. Therefore, nests of birds, etc., should not be removed if they contain eggs, but if they do not contain eggs, they should be removed and driven away. If the nests of male and female birds contain eggs, they should be wrapped with thread to prevent them from growing and multiplying. Then, allocate bedding and cushions, one item each if there are few, and many if there are many. Heavy and difficult-to-complete items should be given to the residents. For the elderly, give small beds and good cushions. Also, give according to the order of seniority. Distribute the good items to the monks, and distribute the remaining items to the nuns. Then, if someone uses a rough or dirty cushion to use the dwelling, say to the monk that the Sangha needs to observe carefully. Inspect the bedding and cushions twice a month. After the elderly and residents have fully used them, if you see someone using them improperly, tell the Sangha, the teacher, and the Khenpo, and re-evaluate. These are the items commonly used when collecting dwellings. The monastery manager, when gathering at dusk, should say to the Sangha of monks, "This patron is named so-and-so, this attendant is named so-and-so, and the residents of these villages will reside nearby next summer." Then, on the sixteenth, each should inspect the dwelling and living areas, observing whether this place will not cause me suffering, and if it does, whether it can be eliminated, or whether there is someone to care for me when I am sick. Whether there are alms and medicine-providing patrons in this living area. After entering the dwelling, prostrate before the monk and say this: "Venerable one, please be informed. Now the Sangha is preparing to reside near the summer, today is the first day of the middle summer month, I, the monk named so-and-so,"

That is the first day of the middle summer month. I, the monk (དགེ་སློང་,bhikṣu,bhikṣu, literally: beggar) named so-and-so, in this dwelling within the boundary, in order to repair the damage and cracks of the dwelling, accept the offerings of the patron so-and-so, the attendant so-and-so, the village of residence so-and-so, and the servant so-and-so, and promise to stay here for the first three months. I am staying here, and my summer residence is here. Repeat this twice or three times. It can also be done like this for the second promise. But it cannot be done in two ways at the same time. If you wish, you must stay in the first or last stay. If you stay in the last stay, you must stay until the last month of autumn. Press the edge of the dwelling boundary with trees, etc. If you promise to stay, then it is also considered that all four places have promised to stay. After promising to stay, you should not stay outside the boundary. From monk (དགེ་སློང་,bhikṣu,bhikṣu, literally: beggar) to layperson (དགེ་བསྙེན་,upāsaka,upāsaka, literally: male/female lay follower), for the benefit of relatives, or for heretics, heretics, or to obtain unobtained merits, or to eliminate doubts about the sutras, etc., you can accept the blessing of seven days and go. Venerable one, please listen, I, named so-and-so, promised to stay in this dwelling within the boundary for the first three months, therefore, I, named so-and-so, for some matter, will leave the boundary within seven days, and if there is no obstacle, I will return within seven days and receive the blessing. I am staying here, and my summer residence is here. Repeat this twice or three times. For those who stay, if they hesitate and say "Am I staying in the place of stay?", even if they live on the edge of the boundary, it is not considered to have broken the summer stay. During the summer stay, one should abandon and stay together again for three months. Do not argue and distinguish. If you live in the air, when dawn rises, it is considered to have broken the summer stay. During the summer stay, if you knowingly take a boat, you should also check that summer stay. If it is unknowingly, it is not considered broken. All five sanghas (སྡེ་ལྔ་,pañcavargika,pañcavargika, literally: five monks) should receive the blessing of seven days. Even if those situations occur, you should stay.
