However, one should not enclose a boundary with a boundary. Except for well water, circular grounds, and the summer residences of nuns, one should not enclose other boundaries with a boundary. A single good wooden marker can also demarcate the boundaries of multiple places. After stating the markers, even after most of the work has been done, if the worker is tired, it should be declared that the boundary has been demarcated. One should not demarcate boundaries with the moon and the sun. One should not demarcate boundaries with illusion. Not with supernatural powers, not with stars, not with water waves. In empty places, if monks who arrive suddenly demarcate a boundary for residing on the road for seven or eight days, it is a minor offense. Among them, the former is the boundary, the latter is not. Except for rivers and canals with embankments, the other side of rivers and canals is not suitable for demarcation. If a bridge breaks, if one abandons rebuilding the bridge, it remains as if demarcated for seven days. On the eighth day, it will be damaged. If one does not intend to rebuild the bridge, it is damaged immediately after breaking. There are five ways in which a boundary is damaged: the entire Sangha changes its name, the entire Sangha departs, one falls from ordination, death, and the act of solicitation itself is the fifth. There are five places where one should not cross the boundary: the boundary of a monk, a circular ground, a water tank, another boundary, and the summer residence of a nun. If the site of a monastery has not been demarcated, the boundary is within a distance of one Yojana. In a city, the boundary is within the walls. In those places that can be observed, the residents should gather together to perform the work. As explained in detail above, if one does not do exactly as stated, it becomes a serious transgression. Under the authority of the offering ritual, joining the palms with ten fingers, and so on, was spoken. Among these, reverence for the teacher includes offerings, prostrations, and praise. Among these, joining both palms is prostration. What is called "Shakya Penga" is praise. The word "Shakya" indicates that the lineage is completely pure in the lay aspect. What is called "Lion" is the side of the ordained.

He terrifies all the hordes of heretical non-fearful ones in all directions. The Pratimoksha and so forth are connected with honoring the Teacher. The term Pratimoksha refers to the merit of attaining liberation from afflictions. It is called "Discipline" because it immediately subdues all the entanglements such as desire. Having empowered them to enter into the correct acceptance, he spoke of "Listen" and so on, which means listening, practicing without error, not being distracted, and not being attached to views. "Listen" means that one is made to listen by this. "Having heard, one should also practice" means arising from practicing without error, because one practices as the Tathagata has said. The great sage is the Bhagavan, because he possesses the aspect of moral conduct. He is called "great" because he is superior to the worldly, Arhats, and Pratyekabuddha sages. "From the subtle ones" refers to the transgressions that have been prescribed, and by showing that one should rely on and act upon them, it also shows the naturally sinful ones. Furthermore, the word "again" should be regarded as an implicit indication. Because it is condemned by the noble ones, sin is evil conduct. "Relying" means to respect. "Do" means to cause to enter into correct acceptance. This shows that one is induced into undistracted practice. "Effort" refers to the diligence exerted in virtuous dharmas. Therefore, "transgressing" means fear. "Always" is connected with "difficult to overcome," meaning that at all times, one must turn back from extreme attachment to objects with suffering, and so on. This shows that the mind is difficult to tame. Mentioning the mind means only the meaning of taming the mind. It is purified because it is the cause of all afflictions. It is not the self, because it does not possess all afflictions and purity, and is unchanging like the sky. "Thin" means that one should stop speaking because one has engaged in undisciplined misconduct. "Conformity"
