It should be sealed with a Dharani Also, it should be washed from time to time. It should be turned over. The fly-protecting cloth is four and two. Stretch it twice on the short side. Wrap it all around with twelve cubits of cloth. It is also permitted to bless the bathing cloth with the three Dharma robes and keep it. Other than these, it is okay to remember or not remember, it should be observed, that is, the teacher, the lama, and the preceptor. Which one of those is the lama, like the position of the lama. What kind of things to do after entrusting, etc. If his discipline, learning, joy, and other qualities have not diminished, then he should be observed by the name of another who practices Brahmacharya. It is said that even from the mother's side, seven generations should be observed. Venerable ones, please listen. This remaining garment of mine, named so-and-so, which has not been allowed, should be allowed, and should be done, this allowance should be for the preceptor. Trusting the preceptor and holding it, repeat it twice or three times in the same way. The trusted one should be observed even if he lives on the other side of the ocean. The one who accepts offerings and observes does not entrust. If the trusted one dies, the belongings of the dead should not be blessed by the Sangha. Observe for the sake of allowing, not for the sake of giving. If the trusted one dies, as long as it has not been heard, it is still that observation. After hearing, observe to others. The fifth and seventh should also be observed. It is not patched, it is held for others. Observation also appears as an antidote to two kinds of afflictions, if it is mixed without observation, it will become a serious conflicting affliction, and if it is not held, it will become an affliction of poverty. Those two, by combining with the pleasure of desire and self-fatigue, will lead to downfall. All the practices of Dharma robes are, the person and acceptance, and abandonment, and complete abandonment, and mindfulness. If the person is similar, why should the remaining Dharma robes be held? Obtaining little and, generating happiness and, dying and transferring from the heavenly realm and wanting desirable things, sickness and, dirt and, lice and, many bedbugs and, living in a place with many fights and, ghee

Those with the power to distinguish between small, medium, and large afflictions (should take) the Dharma garment with many edges of karma and few afflictions. From whom should one take? One should not take even if begged by a poor but generous person, because whoever gives will become impoverished by it. Even if given, one should not take if there is reliance. Just as with householders, it is the same even if a monk's possessions are exhausted. One should not take even from those who have lost consciousness, such as the insane. One should take from those who know, such as superiors, or from what is given from one's own home. One should not take from thieves, cunning people, those who are attached, those who make a living by fighting, those who think of fighting, those who constantly do harmful deeds, those who constantly think of harmful deeds, robbers, executioners, Chandalas who are extremely despised in the world, dwarfs, etc., because harm will arise from it, and it will also become a fault of disbelief. If it is owned by the Sangha, etc., one should not take it from the caretaker. What kind should one take? The wool of the Persian country can be taken by the Sangha, but not by individuals. Wool and fine cloth are both acceptable. One should not take cotton or wool clothes. Similarly, one should not take clothes made of cow hair or leather. There is no transgression in wearing the skin of bears, etc. There is no transgression in using another's wool. Some say that in order not to abandon the protection of the dwelling, leather clothes and belts should be used as one pleases. In border areas, leather can be worn, but the soles of shoes should be made of a single layer, not double or triple layers. If it is dirty, it should be repaired with mud and worn. Likhar, jungles, Ushira, similarly villages near villages, rivers, reeds, arrow shafts, east and north, etc., this is the annotation of the border area. In the center of the country, leather is like something in the eye, it should not be placed nearby, it should not be blessed, it should not be examined. There is no transgression in taking bear skin from hunters. After taking it, it can be placed on the door of the toilet or at the feet. All bear skin is beneficial for the eyes. One should sit on (bear skin) spread in the house of a householder, but one should not sleep on it.
