Oh. If separated by clothing, it is a coarse offense. Thinking of engaging in impure conduct is a coarse offense that leads to defeat. Whichever of the two, or either, is a decline in the body's faculties, namely ringworm, scabies, and mange. To be attached to another and touch another, and to touch nails, teeth, and hair with nails, teeth, and hair, and dry bones, etc. To whom is one attached? Is it this or not? Doubting in the mind. Similarly, being attached to two, thinking of touching another, and then touching another. And preventing a bhikkhuni from entering samadhi, and touching from complete dedication to a skeleton. When touching, whether it is a woman or a bhikkhu, or both, having changed sex, touching the one who has become a man. Even if one becomes a woman, all are coarse offenses. Similarly, for those who cannot be shown, without interruption, and for those who can associate with men and hermaphrodites, without interruption, all are coarse offenses. For those with interruption, it is a misdeed. For those who cannot associate with men and hermaphrodites, whether with or without interruption, and all those who have gone to the animal realm, it is only a misdeed. If, after touching a man, he changes sex and becomes a woman, touching that person is a sanghadisesa offense. If one's own sex changes, it is an offense leading to defeat. For a bhikkhuni who is with another, it should also be extensively explained. If one recognizes a person there, or has doubts, touching is a sanghadisesa offense. For a non-human, thinking it is a human, or having doubts, or thinking it is a human, all are coarse offenses. Having two sexual organs, with the female characteristics being more prominent, is a sanghadisesa offense. Other than that, it is a coarse offense. Desiring the pleasure of touching one's mother and sister and touching them is a coarse offense. Some say that for someone who is not a beginner, touching out of ignorance is a coarse offense. Why is that? Because one does not seek the prescribed precepts, one is likely to commit a serious offense. Not respecting the precepts, is that not a serious offense? Because one has not understood this, for his teacher and preceptor, it is a misdeed that should be rebuked. It is the same for a beginner. In the darkness, thinking that a woman sitting there is not there and touching her is a coarse offense. Touching in the darkness with a mind without attachment.

If one thinks of touching, but does not touch, one commits an offense. If one is of two minds, one commits an offense. If one moves a woman with one's foot or shoulder, or with one's fingers, or helps up a fallen woman, or supports her with one's limbs, if one has no attachment, one commits an offense. If a woman does these things to a monk, there is no offense. If one inserts a penis or thumb into a woman's limb, it will become swollen. If one draws a picture of a woman, one commits an offense. The same is true for other sentient beings. There is no offense in drawing the shape of a corpse or a skull, or in smelling pus, etc. If one recognizes mothers, sisters, and daughters as such, and warms them with a mind like the earth, or thinks of them as soft or comfortable, and saves them from falling into fire, from eating poison, from being stabbed with a weapon, from falling into a cliff, or from being carried away by water, there is no offense. If someone says, "Let me go, let me do as I please," if one has the power, one should let go. One should not generate attachment. One should generate the thought of mother, etc., and then release. If it does not move, one should place it face down on the sand. One should also protect it. One should not abandon it and leave. One should not sit too close either. Those who recite should recite. Those who meditate should contemplate and abide. One should entrust it to a cowherd, etc., and then go for alms. One should also observe whether it is dead or alive. One should not ride by holding the tail of a cow. One may ride by holding the tails of elephants, horses, chief bulls, buffaloes, and yaks. Or one may do so with all animals except cows. One should cut it into the color of a victory banner, the color of a shroud, or the color of a mon sran sde'u, but not into a mottled color. Similarly, there is no offense in rescuing from all situations that would cause a danger to life. Similarly, embracing by a mother, placing a daughter on one's lap, accidentally falling on a woman, and lips touching lips when the road is muddy are also the same. One should not enter for alms without awareness. If a woman has attachment, one should give her water to drink from one's own hand, intermittently. One should instruct her to drink with her palms together. Otherwise, one commits an offense. Attachment
