Dwelling above or moving, digging in the mud is called stealing. In another's field, digging for the sake of a monastery and oneself, one confesses at the gathering place. If a layman prevails, it is a gross offense. If a monk prevails, and the layman has not severed ties, it is a gross offense. If ties are severed, it is a fundamental offense. If one argues in the king's palace, one immediately incurs a defeat and falls into a transgression, because the king has authority over all disputes. If one is surrounded by branches and the like, or if a stake is moved, between the boundary gate and where it does not meet the gate, it is a gross offense. If it meets the gate, it is a defeat. If one shows robbers a house and hopes for a share, and also claims the share as one's own, one incurs a transgression according to the amount of each share. If one repents and goes to that house, advising them to be careful, or if one also prevents them, even if they steal, it is a gross offense. If one does not claim the share as one's own, it is the same. If one turns back from the road after setting out to steal, it is a minor offense. If one guards the road for the same purpose and they steal, one also incurs a transgression. If one is afraid on the road and thinks, "They will come to kill me," even if one has no intention to steal and no intention to claim it as one's own, there is no transgression. Whoever gains something, if they control it and steal, they incur a transgression according to the amount of the object they have taken. Alternatively, at the time of stealing, whether they receive that much, less, or nothing from their friends, they incur a transgression according to the control of the share of the object. If monks entrust something to others, or if others' vessels, shares that need to be measured, if they take them from the place of the share, they have no transgression. One should not do that. Whoever does that, it is said that it will become a serious offense. If one says to those who have fled from the share, "Those with life, come back here," it is a gross offense. If one speaks with skillful means, it is a minor offense of speaking wrongly. If some need to measure the share, and they do not go to the place of the share, and one shows them another road in order to make them flee from that share, it is a gross offense. If they take it away without claiming their share, it is a gross offense. If they do not go to the place of the share, and they take the share, or half the share, or the full share, it is a gross offense. If they go to the place of the share, half the share or...

All gambling tools are acceptable. If the bet is full, it will result in defeat. My container, the gambling tool that needs to be measured, if taken or allowed to be taken, should be reported truthfully. If I think, "This is for 'mother' and so on," and utter a vow, reciting in the sky, in the mouth, on the shoulder of sewing, or when lost, it will become thick. Similarly, the small cannot be used to estimate the value, nor can the large. What is immeasurable is the reality. If merchants secretly put the container, the gambling tool that needs to be measured, into boxes and the like, there is no transgression. Do not carelessly place containers of items. Leave two monks and give alms to them. If it is returned and put back, if one has not taken full ordination, destroy it yourself and place it aside. Say, "Take it, know your own property." If going alone, and it is necessary to go for alms and other reasons, make a mark. Check it again upon return. If taking for mother, father, and the Three Jewels, praise them. If unwilling, give and leave. If there is fear of harm, give only one share from the property of the Three Jewels, and then divide equally later. When walking on the road, ask other monks, "Is there no container, gambling tool that needs to be measured?" Then accept it. Otherwise, it is a wrong action. Do not send the container, the gambling tool that needs to be measured, on the road. If it is in Rasarpa, even hail and drizzle should be cut off, squeezed with cow dung, and sent after changing direction. There is no transgression for the clothing of utensils. That is, with or without edges, or even without changing direction, it can be sent as medicine for the sick. Selling is permitted. If entrusting someone to do something suitable, ask, "Did you do it? Did you not do it?" Otherwise, it is a wrong action. If giving gambling tools to a gambler, it becomes a serious violation. If a householder is not informed and begs his wife with his words, he will fall into transgression as it is. If many people steal one Dharma robe, they will fall according to the amount of their share. If wanting to steal from a Dharma robe box, when choosing...
