If one does not think of the pleasure of sexual intercourse, but touches with the thought of practicing impure conduct, then one commits a pārājika offense, which is a grave offense. If one thinks of the pleasure of sexual intercourse, it is a saṃghāvaśeṣa offense. Thinking of practicing impure conduct in the body's orifices or elsewhere, if semen is emitted, it is also a saṃghāvaśeṣa offense. It is a grave offense. If one jewel transcends another jewel, one commits a pārājika offense. Thinking and then being confused by sleep, if one engages in impure conduct with a woman, one commits an offense of censure. For forms of sentient beings made with secret mantras, medicine, and illusion, it is a grave offense. For those who are not afraid of violating what has been learned, and for those who have a mind to steal what has been given with faith, if two minds are not found, then one should be given the precepts through invitation and four karmas. Some say that, similarly, for a woman named so-and-so, thinking that one can engage in wrong conduct, if one engages in wrong conduct with a man, a hermaphrodite, or another woman, one should also be given the precepts; if one thinks that one is not engaging in wrong conduct with another, therefore one is giving the precepts for a grave offense that incurs defeat. Thus it is explained. The act of punishment for that is this: the one who performs the punishment should do all things, until the end of life, one should give and receive alms, and he should also give and then eat alms, this is the distinction. If one attains Arhatship, one should remain in whatever order one has attained. Others say that for six months one should not eat ghost food, one should honor the Sangha. One should honor the abbot. One should help with matters such as the bowl and robes. After that, when the Sangha is pleased, having recognized the complete intention, one should be accepted, thus it is explained that this is restoration. Previously, if a transgression has occurred, and one is in a state of thievery, and initially quarreling, and food, and hermaphrodite, and causing deterioration by expelling a bhikṣuṇī, one commits an offense of censure. One who has not taken full ordination also commits a pārājika offense, such as giving the precepts. If a doctor pierces with a needle, and a female doctor administers medicine, if one experiences it, there is no offense. For the initial act, there is no offense. For this, there is an offense of censure. For a madman, there is no offense. For a relative...

etc., are bewildered by the five exhaustions. Mental disturbance is when non-human beings disturb someone's mind. Being afflicted by feelings is if a monk lacks awareness. Of these, eight concerning the topic etc. have been explained. The remaining ones will be discussed. Taking the precepts, and not abandoning them, the path not degenerating, the sense faculties entering, experiencing, the mind being ordinary, and two minds not being in close proximity, these are the seven limbs. Arousing is of two kinds: body and mind, and body, speech, and mind. Even if one acts with flattering words, it is the same. Because it diminishes the power of virtuous qualities and generates faults leading to bad migrations, it is a defeat. Because one is expelled by the Sangha, it is also a Sanghavasesa. If such a fault occurs, it is because the Sangha rebukes and admonishes. Because it burns, cuts, and causes one to fall into the bad migrations, it is also a Patayantika. If one does not confess, one will generate a great many faults. Because one must confess, it is also a confession. Because one is blamed for doing bad deeds, it is also a Dukkata. It is also continuous. That which becomes a downfall by giving precepts is severance. It is a natural offense. If one deliberately does it, it is engaging in action. If one strives but neglects it, it is engaging in inaction. Practicing and not practicing, heavy and light, are as before. Actually doing it at night etc. is heavy. It is a bodily action. Standing up is as shown when giving the precepts. The heavy of a gross offense is what must be confessed in front of the entire Sangha. The light is when at least four people gather. Similarly, other than that, I will also speak of the gross offenses of defeat. The heavy of a gross offense of Sanghavasesa is when at least four people gather. The light is to one person. Because it possesses a natural offense, it is inherently afflicted. Possessing a stipulated offense, it becomes two kinds. Downfalls occur in five ways. Here, because the direction is indicated, all ways are included. Also for each precept other than that.
