It is pacified in three ways: just as arguing for the sake of giving, pacifying through direct discipline and through mindfulness. For example, when monks argue about property near a wall, because of shame, they give discipline through mindfulness by means of supplication and two karmas. Similarly, if another transgression occurs to him, when others argue, he should also make amends for the transgression. Disciplining by not being insane: for example, for the one born in the sandy place, when what he did while insane is argued about, he gives discipline by not being insane through supplication and three karmas. There are three ways to give discipline through mindfulness for what is not Dharma: when a final transgression occurs, when a fault occurs due to insanity, and when one knowingly confesses that the four root transgressions will occur. The first case is that which should be expelled. In the second case, it is appropriate to give discipline without being insane. In the third case, it is appropriate to investigate its nature. There is one case where it is appropriate to give discipline without being insane for what is not Dharma: when one admits that he is insane even though he is not really insane. Disputes arising from transgressions are pacified in four ways. Among them, what should be confessed is: whether or not the transgression was argued about when it occurred, whether or not it was remembered, confessing truthfully in front of the monks is confession. There are ten kinds of unlawful confession: confessing that the five root transgressions have not occurred, and confessing that transgressions that have not occurred have occurred. The opposite ten cases are in accordance with the Dharma. Among them, direct taming begins with the black child of Deer Park, arguing with individuals, and similarly, lawfully and disciplinarily with direct taming, up to arguing with the Sangha based on the eye. Similarly, up to two people arguing with the Sangha. Up to many people arguing with the Sangha. Up to the Sangha arguing with the Sangha. If in these sixteen ways, other lawful arguments are unlawful, then the sixteen ways of giving direct taming are also unlawful. If what is being argued about is unlawful, and the person arguing is lawful, then the giving of direct taming has sixteen

Everything should be done according to the Dharma. Regarding this, if one seeks to investigate its essence, it is that within the Sangha, if someone commits an offense and denies it, and then admits to the denial, and then denies it again after admitting, it should be dealt with through supplication and two karmas, which is in accordance with the Dharma. If one admits and then denies, and then admits again, this is not in accordance with the Dharma. Like spreading grass, it is divided into two opposing factions, and the leaders of each faction should admonish their respective subordinates, tolerate the other side, and confess their faults. For the sake of oneself and the faction's interests, one side slanders the other, and threatens and intimidates, and even the prostrations are just superficial, and neither side should expose each other's faults. In this way, like settling disputes by spreading grass, the dispute can be settled. Disputes arising from certain matters should be settled by the Sangha assembly. Like Brahma, there is only one; like Indra, there are two; like a king, there are three; beyond these, disputes will arise. Even without the seven methods of settling disputes, can disputes be settled? The answer is yes. If one or two or three people die, or are told to become householders, etc., or suffer from long-term illness, or go to other places, the dispute can be settled. Therefore, even if one recites a single verse, one can fully enjoy the benefits of the Dharma, and there should be no regret about this. The teacher also said: There are seven ways to settle disputes, and these seven ways are: disputes arising from offenses, disputes arising from not admitting their nature, disputes arising from not admitting what has been done, disputes arising from being involuntary, disputes arising from admitting after examination and then denying, disputes arising from admitting and then being insane, disputes arising from signs, and disputes arising from arrogance. The first case is, if a monk sees someone engaging in unchaste conduct and accuses them, that person admits to doing it, but does not admit the nature of the offense. In this regard, the Sangha should examine the nature of whether it is an offense or not, and then accuse and admonish him. Or the accusation should be prohibited.

Therefore, disputes should be pacified by subduing them manifestly. Furthermore, if they say they do not remember what they have seen, heard, or done after discussing it out of necessity, then the Sangha should investigate whether the Bhikshu being discussed is related to the precepts and rituals. The dispute should be pacified by subduing the memory of what was discussed with memory. Furthermore, if they do not admit to doing something unintentionally, the Sangha should investigate whether they did it unintentionally. If they say there is no transgression in cases of madness, etc., then the dispute should be pacified by subduing with non-madness. Some are confused about what is a transgression and what is not. Bhikshus should submit the dispute to the Sutras, the Vinaya, and the Matrikas. They should understand the nature of those transgressions or non-transgressions, and have them seek the essence of that matter, thereby pacifying the dispute. Furthermore, if they admit to a transgression and then deny it, and after denying it, admit it again, then the Sangha should investigate whether they admitted it in front of many people, or whether they denied it. The dispute should be pacified according to the wishes of the majority. Furthermore, it should not become a place of dispute, because if one sees a transgression and confesses it, the very sign of the dispute will be pacified. Thus, by admitting, the dispute is pacified. Furthermore, if they say, "Our side has spoken," this is blatant arrogance, which will lead them to stand on the side of sects and outsiders. In this case, the leaders of both sides should admonish their own side, and if they allow it, they should also admonish the other side. In this way, the dispute should be pacified like spreading grass. The ten behaviors of a Bhikshu are: regression, intolerance, non-understanding, dependence on the Sangha, not relying on lay practitioners, fully enjoying possessions, Bhikshu, Bhikshuni, secular names, accepting invitations to alms and claiming them as one's own, and acting according to the Dharma there, and talking to each other. These are the body of Pratimoksha. When practicing these ten behaviors, defiled transgressions arise from two situations. From the long term, if memory is lost
