The monk in charge should scatter ashes in the place where excrement is wiped, and the place where urine is passed should be cleansed with water. If afflicted by a feverish disease, wrap it with cloth, and make a hole in the middle. If it is wrapped with thread, untie it and wear an amulet. If suffering occurs, spread cloth or leaves. Two tiles should be placed close together, used for washing, drying, and applying oil. Do not defecate or urinate while wearing sewn clothes. The clothes should be arranged well and placed inside. Also, consciously defecate and urinate. Without rinsing the mouth, do not possess cleaning utensils. Do not sit on a mat. There is no transgression for taking medicine or not having water. After taking medicine, before completely washing, or when not washing, wipe the anal passage with a small piece of earth or wood, and finally cleanse. For shoes, also tirelessly perform cleaning and so on. Do not urinate in an improper direction, but all things should be done in one place. Near the place of defecation, urination, and washing, do not do anything else except by oneself. Do not make sounds while passing gas. Do not deliberately hold back stool. Do not prevent stool that is coming. After the task is done, do not sit in the place of defecation and urination.
