Destruction is done by oneself or by others. The so-called "after destroying," if it has been completed and taken as one's own, then one should confess the fault of destroying. If it is abandoned without being completed, then a minor offense is committed. Doing it for others also incurs a minor offense. There is no offense in finding what has been completed and enjoying what has been completed. One should also ask the person before whom one confesses whether it was destroyed. Otherwise, it is a minor offense. Similarly, gathering or cutting is also the same. Four types of needles are allowed: copper, tin, bronze, and iron. There are also two types of knives: like a crow's beak and like a magpie's wing. The large one is six fingers long, the small one is four fingers long, and the medium one is between the two. It should not be made of gold, silver, beryl, or crystal, nor decorated with a brightly colored handle, nor coated with beeswax. Needles and knives should be well hidden and not given to shameless people or those who have not taken full ordination. They should be kept by oneself or given to a person who knows shame to keep. To prevent needles and knives from rusting, wrap them in cloth coated with beeswax and then cover them with silk. Just as the basis of needles and knives is clearly indicated, other utensils should also be inspected according to the circumstances. As it is said, one should not wear rings made of gold or other materials. There are four types of seals: copper, tin, bronze, and wood. The seal of the Sangha should have the name of the monastery owner and the Dharma wheel as a symbol. The personal symbol should be a drawing of a skeleton or skull, it is said. The fourth (matter). While residing in Shravasti, the Blessed One taught: Do not wash feet at the foot of the bed, whether at the head or foot end. Feet should be washed for the sick, the elderly, the weak, and the weary. The Six Groups, having heard this, made beds from twelve-cubit-long bamboo and erected headboards. Therefore, in order to control the foundation of the dwelling, to avoid serious violations, and to completely eliminate the afflictions of poverty, the fifth (precept) was established. For the remaining offenses of expiation, there are also four and afflic

Completion is like this. If one causes to do, it means oneself or another is fine. "The measure of eight fingers of the Sugata" means the length of one cubit of an ordinary person. "Except for entering the hole" means that the use of an umbrella handle is permitted. "Cutting it off is a downfall" means that cutting it off is a downfall, meaning one needs to confess. The rest are the same as before. If it exceeds the nature of a jewel or coral, it is a misdeed. The base of the bed should be cut straight like a whetstone, not diagonally. In addition to that, a support for the feet should be placed on the ground. Or it should be made into a bulging shape. The fifth (matter). In Shravasti, because the bed of the near-joyful monastic community was also considered to belong to others, it was laid with wood cotton, therefore, that monk made it white with wood cotton, so it is the sixth (matter). "Wood cotton" has five types: Kasha wood cotton, Aga wood cotton, Shalmali wood cotton, cotton, and Nameruka wood cotton. "Laying" means laying wood cotton on the bed and then covering it with cloth on top. Covering with suitable cloth or wood cotton is a misdeed. If it has already been covered, it is a downfall. If it is covered with unsuitable cloth or wood cotton, it is a misdeed. The sixth (matter). In Shravasti, relying on many monks, the seventh (matter) was established. "One and a half cubits" means the length of three cubits of an ordinary person. "Measure with one cubit" means one cubit of the Sugata, which is one and a half cubits. Therefore, the dimension of the length is one and a half cubits. "The width is half a cubit and a half" means two cubits and six fingers of an ordinary person. For a single-piece cushion, it should not be blessed. The seventh (matter). In Shravasti, the Bhagavan said that those with scabies disease should hold a cloth to cover the scabies. Also, bathe on time. Also, turn it over. Insert it, rub it, and then take it out, so the monks did it excessively, therefore the eighth (matter) was established. "To do" means oneself or another. "Four cubits" means six cubits of an ordinary person. "Two cubits" means three cubits. If it is done excessively, it is a downfall. If one blesses a small one, it is a misdeed.
