And, householders and, those who have not taken the full ordination. Whether it is three or two, among those who have taken the full ordination with one monk, there is no one who is older. Others say that there are six kinds of seniority: seniority by age, seniority by Dharma nature, seniority by wisdom, seniority by activity, seniority by time, and seniority by lineage. Seniority by Dharma nature is also of two kinds: seniority by time is when one has taken the full ordination for a long time, and seniority by lineage refers to grandfathers, uncles, elder brothers, and so on. Seniority by wisdom refers to the wisdom of kings and others. Seniority by activity is also of three kinds: the reciter is older than the chanter, and the chanter is older than the one who has entered renunciation. Therefore, one who is older in body should not prostrate to one who is younger in time, nor should one prostrate to one who is equal. If one is not very senior in lineage and so on, then one should prostrate to any one of them who is senior. Similarly, if lineage, wisdom, and activity are equal, one should also prostrate to those who are older than them. If one is not of lineage, or not very senior in lineage, then one should prostrate to one who is very superior in wisdom, and to the best of those who have renounced. There are two ways to prostrate: with the five circles touching the ground or bending from the waist. Saying "prostration" is an obvious statement. Bending the body is an offering. Others say that one should prostrate with the great prostration of the five limbs touching the ground rather than to the teacher. For the teacher and the teacher's place, one should kneel, accompanied by bowing, or with palms joined, or bending from the waist, or similarly squatting. For other practitioners of the same Brahmacharya, one should also bow the head, or join the palms, or speak correctly. Whether one is defiled or defiled by something, both are at fault. There are two kinds of defilement: defilement by food and defilement by unclean things. Even if there is only discord, one should prostrate if one becomes ill. And one should say "Arogya". Otherwise, both are at fault. Even if one has fallen, one should prostrate with the past lineage as the object. One should not claim ownership with only one garment, nor should one prostrate. The elder...

If a young person appears, one should also say "I prostrate." If it is to a young person, one should say "Arogya," not "Longevity." Elderly people and householders, these are obviously happy to be alive, so there is no downfall for them. If prostrating in the dark, do not put your head on the ground, but recite the words. One should not stay in an arranged dwelling, but think: where is friendly, where should be respected, where would be ashamed, or think: where is appropriate, or think: where will turn to the good side, and then occupy the dwelling there. One should put the Dharma robe on one shoulder, hold the two feet with both hands, and say: Reverend, please listen. I am called so-and-so, I request to stay with the Reverend, I request the Reverend to grant me a dwelling. Reverend, I will depart from the dwelling. Repeat this two or three times. The other person should say "Good, well done." The other person should also say "This is the method." One should not use an arranged dwelling as a place for wandering. If one is five years old and enlightened, there is no downfall. The enlightened are like those under five years old. After leaving, one should carefully observe for two or three days of rest, and then occupy the dwelling. Even an Arhat should stay in a dwelling arranged by others. Even if a dwelling has been arranged for five days, one should give the gains to the other person. One should not give a dwelling to those who seek a dwelling with an intention not to give up, and who possess five qualities: those without beginning or end, those who do not listen to advice, evil friends, lazy people, disrespectful people. On the contrary, one should give a dwelling to those who possess qualities contrary to the above. One should know which are abandoned in this order, and which are not abandoned. There are also five other situations that lead to abandonment: going beyond the boundary, arriving, coming from another Khenpo, going from one side to a non-side, abandoning the dwelling itself is the fifth situation. As soon as one sees the Khenpo, immediately staying in another place is considered abandonment, but if one is just passing by or does not want to stay, it is not. If one comes, one should also do all things until he stays, both should be observed. Near
