Thinking of leaving tomorrow, one should inform the Abbot and Khenpo, saying, "I am going to this place." If permission is granted, then go. Regarding this, the monastery's resident should leave from the outside. Bedding and cushions should also be inspected. To prevent anyone from being left behind due to illness, one should inquire among companions. Go to the companions and ask if they have forgotten anything. One should also inquire about guests, etc. They should sit together. Do not leave together with family. If one endures due to such reasons, there is no transgression. It is not about worldly talk, but rather about Dharma talk or the silence of the noble ones. At the crucial moments of the deities, strike the musical instruments and recite the verses of the monastery. Do not make offerings to the deities. Furthermore, in places where one rests or draws water, the recitation of verses should also be prohibited. In the place where one resides, the three generations of lineage should be recited. A rope should be hung, and there are three types of this. The large one is one hundred and fifty cubits. The short one is one hundred cubits. The medium one is in between the two, and the measurement should also be in accordance with local customs. Shake the robes and wash the feet, filter the water, and wipe the shoes with a cloth. Do not strike against walls, etc., and do not wash. Wash both hands, put on the robes, and enter the monastery according to the ritual.

One should attend to guests by washing their feet. One should prepare food and drinks to the best of one's ability. Bedding and mats should be prepared in accordance with what is suitable. If one does not act in accordance with the prescribed ritual, then everything is a fault. "Entering a journey" means that one cannot travel without guests. Here, the term "guests accompanied by monks" is used by the Blessed One to alleviate the fatigue of those coming from afar. Among these, "universal practice" means that if one is not fully ordained, the monks should carry the provisions for the journey for the nuns. The nuns should carry them for the monks. Giving and receiving should be done mutually. Sick monks should be cared for. If there are few people, the nuns should also help, and they should carry them from the beginning. If one goes to a village, one should obtain medicine and alms for the sick. One monk should be left to care for the sick, and the rest should go. The same should be done for nuns. So, what kind of downfall will occur? Every half yojana (a Tibetan unit of distance) is a fault. Every yojana leads to a downfall. There are six ways of perceiving a nun as a nun. Similarly, if one perceives that a guest is not the one one desires, but allows the guest to leave, then there are two downfalls, two faults, and two instances where there is no downfall. Embracing with desire on the ground, or traveling in the sky, or making oneself invisible, are all faults. Similarly, one should also speak about entering a boat. The sixth (rule). In Shravasti. Starting with the group of six monks, as before, with the addition of the seventh (rule). "Entering the same boat after embracing" refers to the same boat, the same raft, the same cabin. "Going upstream" means going against the current.
