These sections are from the content of the Pratimoksha Sutra recited every half month. The so-called learning method is a collection of many teaching sections. The so-called learning method refers to the learning method that does not violate the Vinaya, does not violate the world, and must conform to the precepts. These dharmas themselves have their own nature, so they are called dharmas. The so-called "many of these" refers to the one hundred and twelve learning methods that will appear below. If these are violated, in the main practice it will constitute a sin that should be repented of, in the preparatory practice it will constitute a sin that should be blamed, and in the preparatory practice of the preparatory practice, it should be even more blamed, and it will constitute a minor sin that should be blamed. The so-called "appearing in the Pratimoksha Sutra recited every half month" means that during the Posadha held every half month, it is recited from the mouth of the Vinaya holder, which is to explain this meaning. In short, the sutra that summarizes the learning methods mentioned in "the lower skirt has seven types" is: one should learn to sew the lower skirt into a round shape. One should learn that the lower skirt should not be too short, not too loose, not like an elephant's trunk, not like a palm leaf, not like the shape of a grain measuring device, and not like the crest of a snake's head. These are what is said. The origin of learning to sew the lower skirt into a round shape is: The Buddha Shakyamuni lived in the Deer Park at Varanasi where the hermits fell. At that time, the World Honored One allowed five faultless people to enter the Sangha, and when they became monks, due to past habits, they wore lower skirts like lay people. Brahmins and faithful householders saw this and said, "Venerables, are you wearing lower skirts to look for rich people, merchants, and navigators?" At that time, the monks reported this matter to the World Honored One, and the World Honored One thought, "The householders are telling the truth, I should think about how the Shravaka disciples of the Buddhas who attained perfect enlightenment in the past wore lower skirts." At the same time, the gods also reported to the World Honored One.
