It transforms, because there are cases of proclaiming the faults of others. In order to completely avoid those faults, the Buddha, the Bhagavan, thus briefly recited the commentary on the Pratimoksha Sutra every half month. O you who have eyes! Regarding dangerous things, just like that, the wise in this world of life, all sinful things should be abandoned. Do not slander, do not harm others, the Pratimoksha should also be protected, this food should also be known in quantity, and dwell in a quiet place, constantly practice the higher mind, this is the teaching of all Buddhas. Thus it is said. Among them, O you who have eyes! Regarding dangerous things, just like that. It means, just like a person who has eyes and is not blind, knows how to walk, and can completely avoid dangerous things such as cliffs, thorns, poisonous snakes, etc., which are the cause of suffering, and uneven places. The wise in this world of life, all sinful things should be abandoned. Thus it is said. The wise, those who have wisdom, who can think and discern, also in this world of life, in samsara, regarding what are sins, those should all be completely abandoned. If those sins should be abandoned, how should they be abandoned? Therefore it is said, do not slander, do not harm others. And so on. Do not slander, it means, regarding others, whether it is true or untrue, do not slander them. Do not harm others, it means, do not harm others with beatings, harsh words, etc. The Pratimoksha should also be protected. Among them, Pratimoksha refers to the precepts of abandoning killing, not giving and taking, non-celibacy, lying, divisive speech, frivolous speech, harsh speech, etc., which are the precepts of the seven assemblies such as monks. Protecting it means to completely uphold it. Therefore, it should be known that this is to show the higher discipline by the two kinds of precepts, the nature of prohibition and the nature of practice. This food should also be known in quantity. It means, like this, monks should also know the amount of food for edible food, how much will not make the body heavy and dull.

The limit of just that extent should be fully understood. The term "abiding in the supreme state" means abiding in a secluded place that is the ultimate extreme. This should be understood as teaching the assembly for meditating on the actions of those whose body and place are well suited. One should properly apply oneself to the superior mind. In this context, "superior mind" means that which completely tames the mind, thereby purifying the mind from the obscurations of desire and the obscurations of delusion. This includes both meditative stabilization with outflows and meditative stabilization without outflows. To properly apply oneself to this means to properly engage in yoga. This should be understood as teaching the training in the superior mind and the training in the superior wisdom. This is the teaching of the Buddha. The term "this is the teaching of the Buddha" means that this concise teaching of the Tathagata is the teaching of the path that includes the assembly, and that is the concluding statement of the teaching of the Buddha. The disciples of the Bhagavan, the Tathagata, the protector of all, also became minor in faults, for example, merely being fond of associating with householders. In order to completely abandon these faults, the Bhagavan thus concisely recited the Pratimoksha Sutra every half month. Just as a bee from a flower, without harming its color and scent, extracts the nectar and flies away, so does the Thubpa (the capable one) wander in the village. In this context, just as a living bee extracts nectar from a flower without harming its color and scent and flies away, so too, when the Thubpa, the renunciate, wanders in the village for alms, he should take food from the village like nectar, without harming the mind and discipline like color and scent. This is the concluding statement. The disciples of the Bhagavan, the Tathagata, the destroyer of samsara, also became minor in faults, merely having an awareness of the faults and virtues of others. In order to completely abandon these faults, the Bhagavan thus concisely recited the Pratimoksha Sutra every half month. One should examine one's own lineage and non-lineage, but not the discord of others and what others have done and not done. In this context, one's own...
