The procedure for requesting for three months is arranged as follows: The one who quells the dispute takes the basis of the dispute and goes to a place of another monastery including the Sthaviras and those upholding the Pratimoksha, recounts the history of how the dispute arose, and requests, "Please pacify this dispute within three months." The ritual for the one who quells the dispute to request there is as follows: He prepares a seat there, strikes the Ghandi, and admonishes the monks with words of inquiry. When all the Sangha are seated together in harmony, he takes off his two shoes, prostrates in the direction of the elders, and then squats with palms joined, reciting the words of the mantra once to make the request. That mantra is as follows: "Venerable Sangha, please listen.
