Since it is coming like that, in reality, you deliberately intended to make me fast. He said: How do you see me? I climbed the tree and looked. Are you able to climb the tree? It may be possible, it may not be possible, but I did climb. When he said that, the monks reported to the Blessed One, and the Blessed One said: Therefore, a monk should train not to climb a tree. After the Blessed One said that a monk should train not to climb a tree, some monks who wanted to do dyeing work did not know where to hang the rope. The Blessed One said: One should climb a tree to about the height of a man. Therefore, a monk should train not to climb higher than the height of a man. After the Blessed One said that a monk should train not to climb higher than the height of a man, a monk and a like-minded person went on a journey together, and the like-minded person spent the night on the way to the monastery, and then the fear of a tiger occurred. The like-minded people climbed high into the trees and sat down. That monk was sitting on a tree about the height of a man, and when the tiger came, the like-minded people said: Venerable, the tiger is here, quickly climb higher! He thought: The Blessed One did not allow climbing higher than the height of a man, how can I climb higher? So he sat there, and when the tiger jumped up and killed him, the monks reported this to the Blessed One, and the Blessed One said: Therefore, my disciples should recite the basis of training in discipline like this: Except when harm occurs, one should train not to climb higher than the height of a man. Thus the precept was established. The place is Sravasti. The person is the one who holds this Dharma. The affliction is not knowing the time and action. The fault is not climbing higher than the height of a man except when harm occurs. Among them, 'Except when harm occurs, one should train not to climb higher than the height of a man' means: A monk should not climb higher than the height of a man except when harm occurs.

One should train in not climbing trees. The reason for this is to train in accordance with the precepts that will inevitably arise without contradicting the world and without contradicting the Vinaya by abandoning the faults of appearing unsightly and reproach, etc. Here, the establishment of the actual transgression is that if one does not train in this way in the actual situation, it will become the actual basis for an offense that must be confessed. The agent of this is a bhikshu, except when harm has occurred, and climbing a tree higher than the height of a person. The limb of this is one, namely the actual accomplishment. The preparations and the accomplishment of the preparations of the preparations, etc., should be reproached as before, as appropriate. The one hundred and twelfth training. The detailed division of the objects of training is, in brief, nine kinds: wearing clothes, going to the place of practice, sitting there on a seat, taking food, eating food, the use of the alms bowl, teaching the Dharma, the manner of practice, and walking. These are to be applied in order from "one should train in wearing a round lower garment" to "one should train in not climbing a tree higher than the height of a person, except when harm has occurred." O venerable ones, I have finished reciting the many established dharmas, which is the conclusion of reciting the many dharmas to be trained in. The so-called "many dharmas to be trained in" refers to the actual content of the one hundred and twelfth training mentioned earlier. The so-called "finished reciting" is stated in order to conclude the meaning of the vow and to please the listeners. In this regard, I will ask the venerable ones, are you pure in this? I will ask two or three times, "Are you pure in this?" O venerable ones, being pure in this, and not speaking in this way, is regarded as acceptance, which is to proclaim the many established trainings. The so-called "in this regard" refers to reciting the many trainings. The rest is as before. The recitation of the many trainings has been explained. The end of the Pratimoksha Sutra.
