The fifty-second (rule). The origin of learning not to speak when the mouth is full of food is: The Buddha Bhagavan was dwelling in Shravasti, in the Jeta Grove, Anathapindika's Garden. When the Six Groups of monks spoke with their mouths full of food, making noises, the monks reported this to the Bhagavan. The Bhagavan, as before, established that one should learn not to speak when the mouth is full of food. The place was Shravasti, the people were the Six Groups of monks, the affliction was greed, the fault was speaking with the mouth full of food. What is meant by not speaking when the mouth is full of food is to fill the mouth with food, not speaking with the mouth. One should learn to eat food well in this way. Here, if the root downfall is not established as such, then in the root situation, not learning in this way becomes the root of an offense to be confessed. The agent here is filling the mouth with food and speaking itself. The limb here is one, which is the accomplishment of the root itself. Regarding the combination and the accomplishment of the combination of combinations, one should reproach as appropriate, also as before. The fifty-third rule. Summarized as: Tsk tsk and five others. The sutra that speaks of summarizing the training is: One should learn not to make a tsk tsk sound, not to make a tsk tsk sound, not to make a hoo hoo sound, not to make a phoo phoo sound, and not to eat food with the tongue sticking out. The origin of learning to eat food without making a tsk tsk sound is: The Buddha Bhagavan was dwelling in Shravasti, in the Jeta Grove, Anathapindika's Garden. In Shravasti, a householder invited the Buddha and the Sangha of monks to another house for alms, and he prepared sweet bean dishes. The Six Groups of monks made a sound and said: Friend, near joy, the bean dishes are sour. When the householder heard this, he was ashamed and did not say a word. The monks reported this to the Bhagavan. The Bhagavan, as before, established that one should learn not to make a tsk tsk sound. The place was Shravasti.
