This is the word of instructing to "offer in time" and subsequently indicating. Then, regarding the messenger making the exhortation, he should exhort very well and correctly, and correctly instruct, and then go to where that monk is, and after arriving, say to the monk: What the Blessed One has shown as the exhortation, I have correctly indicated, please go there, and he will give you suitable clothes to wear in time. This is called using earnest words, for the sake of the purpose that has already appeared, the words that are to be understood subsequently. The monk who desires clothes should go to the exhorter and say: Venerable exhorter, I want clothes. Venerable exhorter, I want clothes. He should request like this two or three times. The so-called "remembering" refers to the way in which the monk should act without contradicting the world and without contradicting the precepts. If it can be accomplished once, there is no need to do it twice. If it can be accomplished twice, there is no need to do it three times. If it is not accomplished twice, it is also necessary to do it a third time, in short, these are the things to be done at the beginning. After requesting two or three times and remembering, if that cloth is made, then that is good, which means that it is good. For the patron, the messenger, and the exhorter, the basis of merit arising from giving and enjoying will also increase, and for the monk, there will be no fault of contradicting the world and contradicting the precepts. If it is not done, then between four, five, or six times, he should sit without speaking in any direction, which refers to the ritual of the monk acting without contradicting the world and without contradicting the precepts. The so-called "direction" refers to the four directions, what are those four directions? They are the calling place, the dwelling place, the workplace, and the work location. Among them, the calling place is the potter's place and the weaver's place. The dwelling place is the place of the house or the place by the water. The workplace is the workplace of the molasses tree, the workplace of rice, and the workplace of salt. The work location is the shop and the market. The so-called "sitting without speaking in any direction" refers to requesting.

With the six ways of invitation. What are the six ways of invitation? Saying "Have you come?", and because of that reason saying "Yes"; saying "It is good that you have come", and because of that reason saying; saying "Sit on this seat", and because of that reason saying; saying "Wash your feet", and because of that reason saying; saying "Eat food and things to eat", and because of that reason saying; saying "Drink beverages", and because of that reason saying. If the six ways of invitation are very quick, and spoken without hindrance, and do not give opportunity for other words, then know that the six ways of invitation are not complete. If the six ways of invitation are not very quick, and spoken with hindrance, and give opportunity for other words, then know that the six ways of invitation are complete. If one sits silently without speaking in any direction for four, five, or six times. If the robe is completed, then it is good, because for a monk, there is no root of excessive demands that violate the precepts, no premeditation, and no transgression of premeditation, and the donor, messenger, and attendant also increase the basis of doing good because of sending things and fully enjoying them. If it is not completed, then strive to complete it afterwards, and if the robe is completed, then one commits a Nissaggiya Pacittiya offense, this is the author of this offense. Afterwards, refers to after that. Striving to complete the robe, refers to abandoning the scruples that are contrary to the world and the precepts. The robe is completed, refers to obtaining it. Nissaggiya Pacittiya, refers to abandoning that thing and then confessing the Nissaggiya Pacittiya offense. Therefore it is said Nissaggiya Pacittiya. Now, for the things to be done at the beginning, and for the rituals shown in order not to commit offenses, for those monks who abide in accordance with the Dharma, because the transgression of this basis of learning has not occurred, so the donor, messenger, and the monk himself have not completed it as they wished, and the attendant serves, without being ashamed of the affairs of this life and the next, but in common.
