Because it is the ground. Therefore, it shows that it is the cause of obtaining the fruit of Nirvana, the basis of the noble path. Thus, thus, those two verses, if one strives for individual liberation, one will obtain the fruit in the next life, and through the fruit of the next life, it shows the greatness of individual liberation. By praising individual liberation as if praising a teacher, while focusing on proclaiming the greatness of individual liberation, he said: I have entered Nirvana, this is your teacher. The self-born one with reverence, diligently praised before the Sangha. He spoke one verse, "I" refers to the Bhagavan himself. "Entered Nirvana" refers to the realm of Nirvana without remaining aggregates. "This" refers to individual liberation. "Your" refers to the Shravaka Bhikshus. "Teacher" means like a teacher. "Self-born" refers to the Bhagavan, because he attained unsurpassed wisdom without other teachings. "Himself" refers to his own face. "Reverent" means with reverence. "Diligent" means accepting solemnly. "Bhikshu" refers to a Bhikshu who has received full ordination through petition and four karmas. "Sangha" refers to a large gathering. "Before" means obviously. "Praise" means like a teacher. That is, when the teacher Bhagavan was about to enter Nirvana, in order to dispel the doubts of the Bhikshus who thought that we would have no teacher from now on, the Bhagavan said: After I enter Nirvana, this individual liberation will become your teacher, thus he praised. By praising individual liberation as if praising a teacher, it shows the near proclamation of the greatness of individual liberation. Because the path of the Sangha is rare, while focusing on making the path of the Sangha fruitful, he said: The name of Buddha is extremely rare in the world, it is very difficult to obtain a mother, and it is very difficult to renounce. He spoke two verses and so on.

So! That which is called the "Path of Accumulation" consists of thirteen aspects of the accumulation for attaining the Path of Application and the Path of Purification, and the path that serves as the basis: the prosperity of others, the prosperity of oneself, the aspiration for virtuous Dharma, the guarding of morality, the restraint of the senses, the very knowledge of the measure of food, not sleeping in the early and late parts of the night but striving to follow the practice, acting with awareness, virtuous friends, listening to and contemplating the sacred Dharma, being without interruption, increasing generosity, and whatever is the adornment of a renunciate. Among these, "Even the name 'Buddha' is extremely rare in the world." This shows the rarity of the prosperity of others. What is the prosperity of others? It is five aspects: the appearance of the Buddhas, the teaching of the sacred Dharma, the abiding of the taught Dharma, following the taught Dharma, and cherishing compassion for the sake of others. Therefore, even the name 'Buddha' is extremely rare in the world, what need is there to mention the appearance of the Buddhas? If the appearance of the Buddhas is rare, what need is there to mention teaching the sacred Dharma and so on? Thus it is shown. "Obtaining a human existence is extremely difficult." This shows the rarity of the prosperity of oneself. What is the prosperity of oneself? It is also five aspects: being born as a human, being born in the central land, having complete faculties, having faith in the place, and not having turned away from the extreme of karma. Therefore, even obtaining a human existence is extremely difficult, what need is there to mention being born in the central land and so on? Thus it is shown. "Going forth is extremely rare." This shows the rarity of aspiration for virtuous Dharma. What is aspiration for virtuous Dharma? It is hearing the Dharma from the Tathagata or his Shravakas, gaining faith, going forth from home to homelessness, and diligently practicing, whatever is the proper way of learning in this way. Therefore, even hearing the Dharma and gaining faith is extremely rare, what need is there to mention going forth and diligently practicing? Thus it is shown. "Likewise, for those who have gone forth, having perfect morality is extremely rare." This shows morality.

of discipline, guarding the senses, knowing the measure of food, diligently practicing without sleeping in the upper and lower parts of the day and night, and acting with mindfulness are shown to be rare. What is the discipline of morality? There are six aspects: classification, collection, perfection, nomenclature, purification, and benefit. Among these, classification has six aspects: abiding in morality, being restrained by the vows of individual liberation, having perfect rituals, having perfect conduct, regarding even the slightest faults with fear, and taking up the foundations of learning correctly and studying them. Collection is collected in three ways: taking up morality correctly, the morality of definite departure, and cultivating morality. Perfection is perfected in ten ways: having taken it up well from the very beginning, not being too timid, not being too excessive, being completely grasped by mindfulness and diligence, aspiring correctly, being completely grasped by not diminishing the rituals, being completely grasped by not diminishing livelihood, not falling into either extreme, definitely departing, and not being diminished by having taken it up correctly. Nomenclature has six aspects: sometimes morality is spoken of as the root meaning, sometimes as an ornament, sometimes as an anointment, sometimes as incense, sometimes as good conduct, and sometimes as the sound of discipline. Purification has three aspects: in order to completely purify the discipline of morality, one examines the actions of the body separately, one examines the actions of speech separately, and one examines the actions of the mind separately. Benefit has ten aspects: obtaining the Dharma that precedes the supreme joy in the order of no regret, dying without regret, having a reputation that spreads in all ten directions, falling asleep peacefully and waking up peacefully, being protected by the gods when falling asleep, not being threatened by others, having no fear, not becoming involuntary, and
