It refers to any accumulated wealth, such as gold or silver. The so-called "clothing like this and that" refers to any of the seven types of clothing: woolen clothes, Shana clothes, Zarma clothes, Dugula clothes, cotton-wool clothes, Kautamba clothes, and Nioge clothes. The so-called "buy" means having bought it. The meaning of "the monk this and this come" is Shakya's son Nega, or anyone else like him. The so-called "thinking that it is time to wear suitable clothes" means that it can be enjoyed. Then, if that monk has not been invited before, it means that he has not been invited as a guest before. The so-called "some discriminations arose" means that some services arose. The so-called "wanting good" means wanting the best and most excellent. The so-called "going to the non-relative benefactor or the benefactor's wife" means going to their presence. The so-called "saying this, the venerable one has accumulated the price of clothes for me, with those prices of clothes, the venerable one buys clothes like this," means buying one. The so-called "please dress me well in suitable clothes at that time" means saying those words of asking for accumulated things. The so-called "if the clothes are made" means if the clothes are obtained. It is an abandonment offense, and the meaning is the same as before. Then, this abandonment of asking for accumulated things, because it is a detailed classification of the abandonment of asking before, all other characteristics are the same as shown in the case of abandoning asking before. In particular, whether any benefactor accumulates or does not accumulate, if the monk does not know and asks, it is the object of the abandonment of asking shown before. If the benefactor accumulates for the public at a small gathering, and it is not offered to the monk, and that monk knows and asks, it is the object of this abandonment of asking for accumulated things. Then, here, the fundamental offenses are distinguished: the monk's clothes are robbed, lost, burned, blown away by the wind, washed away by the water, not becoming these situations, it is not appropriate to ask, therefore belonging to human beings, becoming a householder, having life, from a person who is not a relative, asking for suitable clothes, not smaller than the suitable size, accumulating without offering

If, knowing the value, color, and size (of clothing), one obtains what is requested, it becomes the basis for the abandonment offense of begging for alms. The perpetrator of this is also a human being, a householder, living, and not a relative. This requires five branches to become a fundamental offense: a monk's robes have not been robbed, lost, burned, blown away by the wind, or carried away by water, and should not be begged for; the donor is a human being, a householder, living, and not a relative; knowing that the clothing is suitable and not too small, before it is given as alms; knowing the value, color, and size, whatever is requested before it is given as alms; and obtaining what is requested. If these branches are incomplete, then rebuke accordingly. The abandonment offense of begging for alms is the eighth. The story of the abandonment offense of begging for alms from individuals is as follows: The Buddha, the Bhagavan, was dwelling in Shravasti, in the Jeta Grove, Anathapindika's Garden. In Shravasti, there were two householders, a husband and wife, who were engaging in misconduct with desire. They had a daughter who was always beaten. Nanda and others, knowing this, praised morality in order to lead the householder husband and wife to refuge and to abide in the precepts, and also spoke of the disapproval of immorality, thereby causing them to take refuge and abide in the precepts. Thereafter, they no longer beat the daughter, and they discussed offering Nanda a large piece of cloth each. The daughter heard this and told Nanda. Nanda came there, and they each offered a large piece of cloth, but Nanda was not satisfied. He then bought a good large piece of cloth from the market and had them offer it, but when the time came, they could not repay the debt. The creditor seized the householder, tied him to the sun, and reviled, beat, and cursed him. At that time, the monks reported this to the Bhagavan. Then, the Bhagavan, considering the prohibition of begging for alms from individuals, as before, for the sake of the monks, householders, and householders.
