Because one is not skilled in the topics of vows and transgressions, and not skilled in instigating transgressions, it is thus determined that a monk speaks of the superior human dharma, or physically touches a woman on the same mat, or eats from the same vessel, or drinks various intoxicating beverages from the same cup, or digs the earth, or cuts green grass, or eats at an improper time, or any other transgression of nature and precepts that is seen being committed, whatever is vowed, let him do it. To let him do it means to let him accept it. That is an uncertain dharma, meaning that is an unestablished dharma. Here, the actual transgression is established as follows: A laywoman with faithful words speaks to a monk, through any of the four modes of conduct—walking, standing, sitting, or lying down—speaks of a dharma that leads to defeat, and if the monk also vows to it, it becomes the actual basis for defeat. A laywoman with faithful words speaks to a monk, through any of the four modes of conduct—walking, standing, sitting, or lying down—speaks of a dharma of sanghavasesa, and if the monk also vows to it, it becomes the actual basis for sanghavasesa. A laywoman with faithful words speaks to a monk, through any of the four modes of conduct—walking, standing, sitting, or lying down—speaks of a dharma of expiation, and if the monk also vows to it, it becomes the actual basis for expiation. The agent here is a woman belonging to the human realm, or a young woman fit to engage in the impure practice of sexual intercourse, capable of fully understanding the meaning of well-spoken and ill-spoken dharmas, and who considers it permissible to reside alone in a secluded place with support. In this case, through five limbs, the actual basis, preparation, and preparation for preparation of various transgressions arise: object, place, intention, the four great elements, and vow. Among these, the object is the monk being with a woman. The place is being alone, secluded from others, with support.
