English

“Requesting purity, without offenses,” etc., is as before. As for “corresponding to the non-other part,” here, “other” refers to Nirvana. As for “corresponding to its non-part,” it refers to the four dharmas that lead to defeat. “Leading to defeat” refers to any of the four. “By dharma” means that non-dharma is spoken of as the sound of dharma. At that time, whether asked or not. The dispute also corresponds to the non-other part. The so-called “dispute corresponds to the non-other part,” etc., is also as before. As for “slightly taking away some objects of thought,” the so-called “merely slightly thinking” refers to things like deer and does, and anything else like that. The so-called “dharma” refers to speaking of non-dharma as the sound of dharma. The so-called “taken away” refers to what is to be taken. If a bhikshu, abiding in anger, speaks out of anger, the so-called “sanghavasesha,” etc., is also as before. In this regard, establishing the root offense here and everything else is similar to the case of unfounded slander. In particular, some of the differences of what was previously said as “by false speech,” etc., will be discussed here: here, it should be combined with “speaking falsely with words that dwell on other things to be said becomes a root offense.” Among them, “other things to be said” refers to the fact that “this person has particularly practiced the dharma that leads to defeat,” that is, for the thing to be said whose meaning is clear, it is another thing to be said whose meaning is unclear. The so-called “words that dwell on it” refers to the words that dwell on the thing to be said whose meaning is unclear, that is, with those words, whether the bhikshu has fallen or not, falsely accusing him of the offense of leading to defeat, causing any human being to understand by any means, it becomes a sanghavasesha. Therefore, it will become like this: with the intention to make him fall, with false words that dwell on other things to be said, to bhikshus and bhikshunis, for those who have not fallen and those who have fallen, slandering with the dharma that leads to defeat, causing any human being to understand by any means, it becomes a sanghavasesha. The author here wants to make him fall.
