Invited. According to the nature of Dharma, when a Bhikshu Sangha is invited in front of whom, it is the time to visit first. The venerable Nears Delight went there first at that time. He said to that householder: Householder, in the meantime when I look at the house of the benefactor, you should prepare food for a while! You should not give alms for a while until I come. After saying that, he left. Then, the Blessed One and the Bhikshu Sangha, without being urged by him, also went to the wall of the house of that householder and sat by the door. Then, the Blessed One instructed the venerable Ananda, saying: Treat that householder as you please! That householder said: Holy One, I don't know how to treat you conveniently and properly. Let's do this, for your sake, I will set up seats, please sit down! The venerable Ananda reported this to the Blessed One. The Blessed One instructed: If you say that, say that the seats are set up for you, and do as you please! Sit down and don't regret it. After the Buddha and other Bhikshu Sangha took their seats, when the sun was about to reach noon, the Blessed One instructed the venerable Ananda, saying: The sun is about to reach noon, give food to that householder! What is the use of this food to you? That householder said: Holy One, please wait a moment, and wait for Nears Delight to come. The venerable Ananda reported this to the Blessed One. The Blessed One waited for a moment. Then, the venerable Ananda again instructed that householder, saying: The sun is about to reach noon, give food! What is the use of this rotten food to you? That householder said: Holy One, please wait a moment, and wait for Nears Delight to come. The venerable Ananda reported this to the Blessed One. The Blessed One said to the venerable Ananda: If Nears Delight doesn't come, will you not give food? That householder said: Holy One, I will not offer. The venerable Ananda reported this to the Blessed One. Then,

The Blessed One then spoke in verse: All power of others is suffering, All power of self is happiness, Common things cause harm, The connection is said to be very profound. When did the shadow of the sun reach its limit? Nanda came and said: Householder, why do you not give alms? He said: Venerable one, you said that I should not give alms for a while until the future, did you not say that? Nanda was speechless with shame. Then, the householder began to give alms, and when the shadow of the sun had passed, some monks received food and began to distribute it, some monks did not receive food, but only distributed food, and the Blessed One spoke words of thanks and departed. Nanda sat there with a heart full of shame. That day, in the corner of the elder preceptor of the Uposatha, he correctly instructed the monks and said: Venerable Nanda, is he not present? Did anyone accept his wish? The monks said: He has not come, and no one has accepted his wish. Other monks said: Venerable Nanda, we have set up obstacles for worldly affairs in the morning, and now we are setting up obstacles for the Dharma. Then, those monks with few desires scolded: Why do monks wander in the houses in the morning and evening after being invited to houses with food? They blamed, criticized, and insulted. At that time, the monks reported to the Blessed One. Then, the Blessed One said as before: Again, if a monk is invited to a house with food and wanders in the houses in the morning and evening, and does not instruct the householders who are sitting there, except for this kind of situation, it is a cause of downfall. Thus, the precepts were established. The place was Sravasti. The person was Nanda. The affliction was acting according to one's own habits. The fault was being invited to a house with food and wandering in the houses in the morning and evening, obstructing the worldly affairs of the Sangha, and obstructing the Dharma of the Sangha by wandering in the houses in the evening. Among them, whoever is called a monk

Is it Shakya's son, Nede Ga, or what else is like that? "With food" means with invitation. "At home" means at the home of Brahmins and householders. "After inviting" means for alms. "Morning" means morning itself, if one goes beyond two houses. "Afternoon" means afternoon itself, if one goes beyond three houses. "In each house" means in each house of Brahmins and householders. "Walking" means walking. "If one does not admonish the householder" means, where there is a householder residing. "Except for such a cause" means, from the beginning of the topic, until one does not admonish the residing householder, his begging bowl and Dharma robes are burned, placing such a cause. "Sin of downfall" means, it makes sentient beings crave to fall into hell, animals, hungry ghosts, evil destinies, and bad paths. It ripens them. It makes them fall. Furthermore, as long as that sin of downfall is not confessed and not separately confessed, it obstructs virtuous Dharmas. Therefore, it is said "sin of downfall." Regarding this, here the fundamental sins of downfall are separately established: If a monk, with his words, invites the Sangha with food to a house, and does not admonish the patron not to avoid giving because of my future reasons, and unless there is an emergency, walks in three houses, etc., and after the time of noon, even if it has been said to the monk, if an emergency has not occurred, if one goes to four houses, etc., the third house and the fourth house and the fifth house, etc., and the fourth house and the fifth house and the sixth house, etc., going one by one, it will become the basis of the sin of downfall of wandering in the village. The agent of this is: in the morning, it is the third house, etc., and not admonishing the residing householder, and the absence of an emergency itself. The limbs of this are: in the morning, with five things, it becomes the fundamental sin of downfall, namely, the morning itself, and the invitation of the Sangha with his words itself, and the non-admonishment of the patron not to avoid giving because of my future reasons itself.
