Those are, are the detached Shramanas, what harm do they do to you by speaking? King Prasenajit of Kosala thought, these people will repeatedly offend me, so he sent someone to the Blessed One to inquire about his health, and reported: Venerable, these noble ones proceed like an army, alas! Blessed One, please make some arrangements so that the noble ones no longer proceed like an army, that would be great. Then, the Blessed One, as before, again established the rule that a monk who proceeds like an army commits a transgression. The place was Shravasti. The people were the group of six monks. The affliction was untamed. The offense was proceeding like an army. Among them, the so-called "monk who" refers to the group of six monks or others like them. The so-called "army", an army has one division, also has two divisions, also has three divisions, also has four divisions. What is an army of one division? It is the elephant corps. What is an army of two divisions? It is the elephant corps and the horse corps. What is an army of three divisions? It is the elephant corps, the horse corps, and the chariot corps. What is an army of four divisions? It is the elephant corps, the horse corps, the chariot corps, and the infantry. The so-called "equipped" means particularly fond of fighting. The so-called "proceeding like..." means proceeding like watching a show. The so-called "commits a transgression" means like before. Here, the actual transgression is established as follows: if a monk is invited by a king, queen, young person, minister, market leader, town resident, local person, or except for cases where obstacles occur, if in order to watch an army that is particularly fond of fighting, he goes beyond the safety perimeter prescribed by the noble ones to watch, then it constitutes the actual transgression of watching an army. The author here is, in order to watch an army that is particularly fond of fighting, going beyond the safety perimeter prescribed by the noble ones to watch. Here, there are five branches that constitute the actual transgression: monk, king, queen, young person, minister, group

Invited by the Ruza of the countryside, the people of the town, and the people of the region, except for the possibility of obstacles occurring, and the army that is clearly delighted by war, and the meaning of viewing and transcending the dangers of the noble ones, and being seen. If these are incomplete, they will be blamed in any case. The downfall of watching the army is the forty-fifth. The commentary on the Sutra of Individual Liberation, Volume Thirteen. The basis for discussing the downfall that exists in the army is: The Buddha, the Bhagavan, was residing in Jeta Grove, Anathapindika's Garden in Shravasti. Even so, the barber did not come. The king was waiting there. The ministers said: O Lord, Anathapindika is known to be powerful, with ripened merit. If he were here, by his power, this barber would come. The king sent a letter to Anathapindika saying: Householder, I want to see you. Anathapindika came there. Even so, the barber still did not come. King Prasenajit of Kosala said to Anathapindika: Householder, don't you remember the children? O Lord, don't you remember the children? I want to see the noble ones. King Prasenajit of Kosala sent a letter to the Sangha saying: I want to see the noble ones. The Vinaya master read the letter in the middle of the Sangha, saying: Whoever is willing to go there, draw lots. The lots were distributed. The elder monks said: We are old and unable to move, so we cannot go there. The young monks said: If it is necessary to teach the Dharma there, we are of little learning and cannot teach the Dharma. Or should we distribute water there? We cannot go there either. The group of six monks said: Ananda, as long as the Bhagavan lives and we are alive, the teachings will remain. When the Bhagavan passes into complete Nirvana and our time comes, it will be said that the teachings will decline.

Saying, "As long as we live, we will cherish the Dharma." They took vows to uphold the precepts and went there to teach the Dharma to the king, causing the king to have faith. They also taught the Dharma to the queen, princes, ministers, and the market people, causing a great multitude to have faith. The ministers of King Prasenajit of Kosala said, "Go around the foot of the mountain." The venerable ones and the group of six monks said, "Joyful one, near joyful one, how long shall we live by the conduct of others? Go forth like a large-bellied army." They did not go forth but sat down. How many armies, consisting of the four divisions, came. They said, "Venerable ones, make way! What to do? An army of four divisions has come." Those stingy ones said, "Are these elephants? They are like pigs." They seized those elephants by their tusks and threw them completely away. "Are these horses? They are like donkeys." They seized those horses by their tails and threw them completely away. "Are these chariots? They are like broken chariots." They seized those chariots by their axles and threw them completely away. "Are these people? They are like straw men." They seized those people by their necks and threw them completely away, and then they sat down dejectedly. King Prasenajit of Kosala came and said, "Wise ones, why do you not go forth but sit dejectedly? Gods, how shall we be victorious? Like this, these shaven-headed, ragged-clothed, begging ascetics are not one or two, but many! Who are they? They are the venerable group of six monks! Wise ones! They are rogue ascetics, what harm can their words do to you?" King Prasenajit thought, "These ones will offend me again and again." Then he sent a messenger to the Blessed One to inquire after his health and reported, "These venerable monks seem to be equipped with an army and have been stationed in the army for a very long time. O Blessed One, please...
