安放婚期的時間已到。他的年幼朋友也感到後悔，做了不該勸說我的朋友娶右跛女的事情。那是不好的預兆，如果因此殺害了朋友是不行的。不如捨棄她，我有一個守寡的妹妹可以送給你。這樣想著，他就對他說了那些話。戶主說：朋友，現在這樣拋棄她是不行的，但是可以想個辦法。右跛女的母親也開始準備嫁妝。因為是六眾的施主，六眾們一大早就穿好裙子和下衣，拿著缽和法衣，前往舍衛城（梵文：Śrāvastī）去乞食，次第乞食時，進入那家，看到正在打扮右跛女，以及焚燒婚禮的物品，那些人說：姊妹，是不是快到節日了？她說：聖者們，如果你的妹妹要出嫁，那就在準備嫁妝。六眾們說：姊妹，我們能不能得到一點食物？聖者們，誰來供養你們呢？這個就是你的，這樣伸出手，那些人將所有的缽都用物品裝滿，六眾們收集了所有的食物離開了。之後，右跛女的父親對求婚者說：兒子，我們準備的食物都被布施者拿走了，你先待在這裡，直到為親戚們準備好食物。求婚者說：我不待，如果今天就給嫁妝，我就娶，如果不給，我就娶別的妻子，你的女兒就拋棄了。這樣說完，右跛女的父母因為沒有及時準備好嫁妝，求婚者就不娶右跛女了，右跛女的父親抓住了求婚者，在王宮裡呼喊並要求對質，求婚者打敗了右跛女的父親。右跛女的母親哭著說我的女兒沒有過錯啊，以及她對面的鄰居們。釋迦子比丘們的善行。

The householder said: Friend, it's not possible to abandon her like that now, but we can think of a way. The mother of the right-limping woman also began to prepare the dowry. Because he was a patron of the Six Groups, the Six Groups put on their skirts and lower garments early in the morning, took their bowls and Dharma robes, and went to Śrāvastī to beg for alms. As they gradually begged for alms, they entered that house and saw that the right-limping woman was being adorned and the wedding items were being burned. Those people said: Sister, is it almost time for the festival? She said: Venerables, if your sister is going to get married, then we are preparing the dowry for that. The Six Groups said: Sister, can't we get a little food? Venerables, who will offer to you? This is yours, she said, extending her hand. Those people filled all the bowls with items, and the Six Groups collected all the food and left. After that, the father of the right-limping woman said to the suitor: Son, all the food we prepared has been taken by the almsgivers, so stay here until we prepare food for the relatives. The suitor said: I won't stay. If you give the dowry today, I will marry her. If you don't give it, I will take another wife, and your daughter will be abandoned. Having said that, because the parents of the right-limping woman didn't prepare the dowry in time, the suitor wouldn't marry the right-limping woman. The father of the right-limping woman grabbed the suitor, shouted in the royal palace, and demanded a confrontation. The suitor defeated the father of the right-limping woman. The mother of the right-limping woman was crying, saying that my daughter was not at fault, and her neighbors across the way. The virtuous conduct of the Śākyaputra monks.
