If two people stand apart at a distance of one cubit, it becomes the basis for the downfall of standing alone. The agent of this is standing, the bhikkhuni is alone, without any trace of people, secluded, with support, and the distance of one cubit is the agent. In this case, it becomes a fundamental downfall with five branches: the bhikkhuni, whether holding a household or not, engaging in impure conduct, capable of practicing sexual dharma, being alone, without any trace of people, secluded, with support, the distance of one cubit, and both standing. If those branches are incomplete, then they are reproached accordingly. The downfall of standing alone is the twenty-ninth. \\ \\ The basis for the story of the downfall of the bhikkhuni causing others to join in eating is: The Buddha, the Bhagavan, was in Shravasti, in the Jeta Grove, Anathapindika's Garden. When a time of poverty arose, Brahmins and faithful householders prepared alms for the monks and the permanent residents. The group of six monks put on their robes in the morning, took their bowls and Dharma robes, and went to Shravasti for alms. They went to the group of twelve bhikkhunis, and those bhikkhunis said: "Venerables, please sit and have a meal. Who will give alms?" "We will offer it." The group of six monks said: "Sisters, we cannot survive on just that. If those Brahmins and faithful householders who prepared alms for the monks and permanent residents, if you cause them to join in for us, then we can survive." Then, the bhikkhuni Thullananda put on her robes in the morning, took her bowl and Dharma robes, and went to Shravasti for alms. She went to those houses where the venerable Ajnata Kondanna and the permanent resident monks had prepared alms, and said: "For whom did you prepare alms?" They said: "For the venerable Ajnata Kondanna and the permanent resident monks."

O! Poma said: If you offer alms to those who have renounced the Shakya clan, are proficient in the three baskets, preach the Dharma, and have the courage of wisdom and liberation, you will gain great merit. Those people asked: Who are they? Poma said: They are the venerable Ananda, Nanda, Desire, Constellation, Swift, and Nabso. Those people said: We will do as you say. They offered the food of the venerable Ajnatakaundinya and the elder monks for the sake of the six groups of monks. The six groups of monks put on their skirts in the morning, took their bowls and Dharma robes, and went to Shravasti to beg for alms. The monks saw them coming with bowls of designated offerings and said: Alas, the six groups of monks are carrying bowls of designated offerings. The six groups of monks said: May those sisters who offer us food be free from illness and healthy! The monks said: Do you know that it is food offered by nuns, and can you still eat it? The six groups of monks said: We can eat it, we cannot eat it, are we going to starve to death? So, those monks with few desires rebuked: Why do these monks eat food offered by nuns? And they scolded and cursed. At that time, the monks reported this matter to the Blessed One. After that, the Blessed One made a rule as before: If a monk knowingly eats food offered by a nun, except for the case where he was invited at home before, he commits a Patayantika offense. The place was Shravasti, the people were the six groups of monks, the affliction was greed for food, and the fault was eating food offered by nuns. Among them, the so-called "monk" refers to the six groups of monks, or other similar people. The so-called "knowingly" means that you know it yourself or someone tells you. The so-called "nun" refers to a believer in this Dharma. The so-called "offering" has two kinds of offering: offering with discipline.
