That was his fault. After he taught the Dharma to Brahmins and other householders, he asked his mother-in-law: "Aunt, what is your daughter-in-law like?" She replied: "Venerable one, she is like a daughter or a sister." The astrologer said: "Aunt, that is not her virtue. Like this, in the definite marks on her, the space between her breasts, the space of her vagina, the space of her waist, there are auspicious knots, a full vase, auspiciousness, and swastikas. That is her virtue." After that, he went to the daughter-in-law and asked: "Aunt, what is your mother-in-law like?" She replied: "Venerable one, she is like a mother or a sister." The astrologer said: "Daughter, that is not her virtue. Like this, in the definite marks on her, the space between her breasts, the space of her vagina, the space of her waist, there are auspicious knots, a full vase, auspiciousness, and swastikas. That is her virtue." Then, at another time, when those women were anointing, rubbing, and bathing, they examined each other's secret marks. When they saw the good and bad marks just as the venerable astrologer had described, when they quarreled, they slandered each other, and when they reconciled, they also spoke flattering words. They also reviled the venerable astrologer, attacked each other, and spoke harsh words. At that time, the monks reported to the Blessed One. Then, the Blessed One thought: "All these faults arise because the monks teach the Dharma to women." Therefore, the Blessed One admonished: "Monks should not teach the Dharma to women. They may teach the Dharma with five sentences, they may teach the Dharma with six sentences, they may leave a man and teach the Dharma as they wish." The group of six monks placed dogs, monkeys, calves, people lying in ashes, cripples, and children beside them, and taught the Dharma to women as they wished. They boasted and were arrogant, reviled the monks with few desires, attacked each other, and spoke harsh words. At that time, the monks reported to the Blessed One. Then,
