That wisdom should not be done again and again. That is to say, having done it once from youth is enough, and it should not be done many times. Do not rejoice in it. That is to say, do not generate special joy and desire for it. This shows the decline of action, and shows the decline of thought. As it is said: If someone has defilements, but is without the nature of defilements, then his mind becomes very clear. If someone becomes without defilements, but his mind becomes discordant, that is a defilement. Why? Because suffering means that accumulating sins is an undesirable result. Accumulating sins means accumulating and universally practicing the collection of sins. The wise should highly value merit, therefore, merit and so on. The daughter called the king of gods accumulated a great deal of merit for as long as she lived. If the wise, relying on a virtuous friend, have accumulated a great deal of merit in the past, one should not think like this: I have done a lot of merit, it is enough, what else should I do? That is to say, one should do the same merit many times and not be satisfied. The rest is easy to understand. In order to encourage and prevent by showing the benefits and disadvantages of merit and sin, "the mind for sin" and so on are mentioned. The Brahmin one-hair-knot wearing one garment did not generate the mind of giving for ninety-one kalpas, therefore these words were spoken. "Obviously do it quickly" means obviously universal, to enter quickly through reverence and constant union. Merit is giving and so on, because the nature of merit is immaculate and is the cause of perfect thinking in the mind. Turn the mind away from sin, which means to turn away from bad behavior, because it causes suffering. From where to turn away? If one does merit slowly, this means a person who is lazy, not diligent, stays for a long time, and practices well with opportunity. "The mind for sin is obviously delighted" means

Being delighted in sinful and evil deeds is especially attachment. Being delighted and indulging in it is the assembly of ordinary beings. For example, if the door of a house is not closed and left ajar, then dogs and other animals will enter without hesitation. Similarly, if there is no strong diligence in virtuous deeds, then an untamed mind will enter into sinful actions. Just as one is accustomed, it will enter. As it is said: Initially, with a loving heart, one does a little good; secondly, with doubt, one contemplates and begins to do evil; thirdly, without doubt, fearlessly, one does whatever evil one desires. Therefore, one who is accustomed to sin always delights in non-virtuous things. That is how it is. It can also be said in another way: Quickly accumulate merit, turn the mind away from unlawful activities, slowly commit sins, and the mind is very happy with virtue. That is how it is. Quickly accumulate merit. In teaching this, it is taught without distinction, because even by doing a little, one will obtain great wealth and suffering. Therefore, "small sins" and so on are mentioned. After that, an old merchant living in the land of Champa came to the Blessed One and asked: Venerable one, in the next life, will one obtain suffering or happiness from sin? The Blessed One spoke two verses. Here, the word "also" in "the next life" should be regarded as added later, meaning "after this life." Because at that time, the fruit that has not yet fully ripened will be given. In the phrase "even a little," the word "also" indicates "what need is there to mention great sins?" Even doing a little bit of action brings suffering, it is said, because it brings about the undesirable result of suffering. Through what? Through committing sins, that is, through accumulation. Here an example is given: It will cause great destruction, like poison that has entered the stomach. This means that the poison that has entered a person's stomach causes great and severe harm, just as it will take away a pleasing life. Even by doing a little merit.

I am exhausted, but this leads to happiness in the next world, not only in this life, but also in the next life, which is the hidden meaning of the word "also." It can also accomplish great things, such as grains, which refer to abundant rice and other crops, which can eliminate the harm of famine and bring great benefits to the world, just as the necessities of life become abundant. In order to show that evil will cause great destruction in this life, it is said, "Whoever is innocent," and so on. The great son of Maudgalyāyana was crushed like sugarcane by the sharp instruments of the heretics, which led to great damage such as bruises, and from this he proclaimed these four verses. Others say that Śikhin Dinya killed his father, and a rain of bird droppings fell in the midst of his consorts, which caused him great discomfort and suffering from hell and other places, as proof of this. To cut off with punishment means to harm others and damage others, which is combined with "whoever hates extremely." Whoever means whoever. Who is hated? It refers to "innocent," which means those who have no faults, whose bodies are of the nature of exhausted afflictions, and who are struck by instruments and so on. In order to show the perfect union, it is said, "not hating," etc., because the mind is filled with the thought of benefiting all beings, and has compassion, and is not controlled by hatred or anger, so it is not hating. Also, the excellence of love and other antidotes to afflictions such as anger abides in the mind. To hate extremely is to generate hatred, which means to drive to harm the innocent, just as the Shakyas did to the Holy Birth. The nature of evil, not eaten by ghosts, any other place, ten, to obtain quickly is certain.
