Thus it is taught. By teaching detachment from the state of equipoise, it is said that all conditions and feelings are exhausted. That is, by meditating on "Who will attain the exhaustion of defilements?", all subtle augmentations will be abandoned. From here onwards, the path of no more learning is taught, such as "When". The state of exhaustion of all defilements is the state of being free from all obscurations, just as the sun illuminates the darkness. Therefore, to teach this, it is said "illuminating", that is, illuminating with the light of teaching the Dharma. "Transformation of poison" means entering into samsara for the sake of taming beings. What does it illuminate? "All the world" means without regard to friends, loved ones, or enemies, illuminating all three realms of existence. Here, an example is given, like the sun. For example, when the sun rises and abides in the clear sky without clouds, it illuminates all the world. Who illuminates in this way? It is the Buddha Bhagavan, who has attained the abandonment of habitual tendencies, possessing omniscient wisdom and great compassion. Therefore, to teach this, it is said, "Having destroyed the hosts of demons, he has transformed his abode." It means that he has certainly conquered the hosts and assemblies of demons, because he has destroyed thirty-six kotis of demons, and has truly conquered and abided from the world. How can this be determined? It is taught by "wisdom also arises completely", because the Buddha Bhagavan, who is free from all obscurations, possesses special wisdom, and the noble ones conquer through the excellence of wisdom. As it is said: "With horns, nails, and teeth, they fight against enemies, and even animals quarrel with fighting. This is through the excellence of mental realization, and without bows and arrows, one can conquer enemies." Thus it is. After teaching the perfection of wisdom, to teach the perfection of abandonment, it is said, "Liberation from bondage", meaning that the Buddha Bhagavan has permanently abandoned the nine bonds, along with their habitual tendencies, through the means of special antidotes.
