The so-called fault is the mistake of others. As it is said: The eye does not see its own fault, but thinks there is a rabbit on the moon. That's what it says. It is difficult to see one's own faults. It is said that one's own mistakes are difficult to see because they are difficult to find, just like looking at one's own face. It shows that it is easy to see the faults of others. Why? Like this, from the faults other than myself: it is like raising chaff. This means that the meaning of things can be inferred from this. For example, someone throws the powder of grass upwards and abandons it, just as ignorance does not see it, and they proclaim each other's faults. It is difficult to see one's own faults. If you want to know this, what should you do? One's own faults are hidden. It is said that covering up the faults related to oneself, the covered things are difficult to see. How to hide it? It's like a cunning person playing dice. It is said that, for example, someone playing dice is gambling. A cunning person is a deceptive person, just like hiding dice to deceive others. Or, the person who plays dice is a cunning person who wants to gain fame, hiding his sins to please others, just like proclaiming the faults of others, in order to show the faults of seeking the faults of others, he said: Observe the faults of others. It means that he has this mentality of observing and seeking the faults of others. Always have a sense of ridicule and bad words. This distinguishes the saint from the non-saint, the saint thoroughly seeks faults in order to protect. The wicked do this in order to speak out the faults. As it is said: The saint is extremely cautious, hiding and degrading the faults of others in turn. However, there is a difference between the two, the saint speaks of the order of degradation in order to protect. Just like this. For those who have a sense of ridicule and bad words. The evil side, the Dharma will grow. It is said that the evil side is degraded. The growth of the Dharma means that it will become bad behavior, etc., and what has not arisen will arise.

It is said: The born one increases, as shown in the sutra. He does not see the Dharma for a long time, meaning if he increases such evil deeds, then seeing the truth is very far away. Whatever does not see the suchness of the Dharma, its fault arises from faults such as shamelessness. To show this meaning, it is said to be indulgent, etc. There are two monks, one is as talkative as a crow, indulgent and often enters secular homes, and lives happily by this. The second is ashamed and remorseful, and his life is very difficult. For the sake of these two, two verses are declared. For the shameless, it is indeed shameless, he can live happily, or he can live without harm, meaning in an extremely untamed way of life. Shamelessness can also be observed from four aspects. To show this meaning in order, it is said to be like a crow, meaning without examination, acting rashly. Impure karma means that this person has impure and seemingly impure karma. The stealer means that this person has a way of acting with a stealing heart, so there is also the meaning of stealing from the guru and others. The indulgent one is a talkative person who speaks of everything. The extremely afflicted life means that no matter what, although he lives happily for a short time, he lives in defilement, because he has accumulated immeasurable causes of evil destinies, and is born from faults such as bad reputation and disrespect. The life of the ashamed is difficult, meaning that the ashamed live very uneasily at this time of struggle. Shame can also be fully understood from five aspects, which are shown here in a special way. What is it like? The answer is: always seek purity, meaning constantly seeking things without fault. The cautious one means one who likes quiet places and fears the Sangha.

English
Not cunning, meaning not like a crow. Not being forceful means not arguing sophistically. Pure living means maintaining life without sin, because it is not for the sake of gain and respect that one abandons holy beings such as lamas. In order to show that all these do not hinder the realization of suchness, it is said to be seeing. This should be especially combined with what was said before. "Living with extreme afflictions," with what should this phrase be combined? It is combined with seeing by not being forceful, meaning that those who live with afflictions realize suchness through wisdom. From shamelessness arise limitless faults, while having shame produces many virtues. Why are these two specifically pointed out? Because the sutra says, "The world has become blind, observe it thus." It is said that in Shravasti, a blind man wandered around and fell into a cliff. He heard about this from the monks, who said, "These ignorant ordinary beings are like blind people, engaging in impure conduct with their bodies, and after their bodies die, they will fall into the lower realms, namely hell." Until when were these things said? Becoming darkness is like darkness, like becoming something else. For example, a blind person cannot see anything, whether it is pleasing or displeasing. Similarly, fools cannot distinguish between what should be done and what should not be done. The reason for saying "namely" is for what? Because this world has become blind, therefore only a few people like the heavenly realms, that is the meaning. This world is the world of ordinary beings. And those who possess vipassana are few, meaning that in this world, those who possess vipassana are very few. Vipassana is intelligence and understanding, because they understand what is beneficial and what is harmful, therefore they behave properly. Because the world has become blind, most people will fall into the lower realms. Because most people lack vipassana, the word "few" is mentioned, meaning that only a few people like the heavenly realms, will be reborn in the happy realms and experience happiness. "Like a bird escaped from a net," in this phrase, from the net
