Because all causes of birth are abandoned. Why is it said, "The Muni strives for supernormal knowledge"? Supernormal knowledge is sixfold. Striving is what is realized by what. Or, supernormal knowledge is undefiled wisdom, and striving is especially clinging. Whoever strives for supernormal knowledge obtains the exhaustion of birth forever. For example, if there is a lamp, there will be light. Muni is what is possessed of Muni. "Knowing the limit of suffering" means the limit of samsara. In order to show the supernormal knowledge of knowing the kinds of minds, it is said, "By mind." "The consciousness of others" is the remainder of the sentence. Because one is not surprised by oneself. What is that mind like? It is said to be liberation, that is, being free from desire and so on. By what cause is the mind liberated from the afflictions that have not manifested, here it refers to permanent abandonment, because it will be mentioned below. Or, it is in terms of the experienced dharma, that is, from the mind of the dharma that has not been experienced, because it will be mentioned below. Knowing is realizing. "Liberation" means abandonment. What is abandoned? "Desire" means desire and so on. How is it abandoned? "All" means forever. Intelligence is special wisdom. The three are remembering past lives and so on. Having means possessing. Having supernormal knowledge of knowing the minds of others and so on, one will become a Brahmin, that is the meaning. Or, the phrases such as liberation by the path of seeing, meditation, and no-more-learning are combined in order. Having spoken of the aspect with the distinction just taught, "Whoever understands death and transmigration" means that the similar class is cut off. Birth is the connection again. All means all aspects. "Having unobstructed eyes" means by unobstructed wisdom. Therefore, the Buddha is one who understands all aspects. Having said, "Whoever has cut off all bonds," and so on. In Rajagriha, the merchant's son named Detrak does not change from realizing the noble truths, from there begins
