Abandoning means transcending and suppressing desire, thereby abandoning desire. The term "separation" means that because craving has been abandoned, the objects corresponding to it are abandoned, that is, to be liberated from the three realms. Explaining the nature of separation, such as "whoever was before." Many sages who lived in the snowy mountains and possessed five supernormal powers were near the king of the Nyagrodha tree during the day. The Venerable Mahāmaudgalyāyana also lived there. They went to the Venerable Mahāmaudgalyāyana and said: Venerable, in how many ways does the Tathāgata designate a Brahmin? Because he led them to the Blessed One, the Blessed One spoke these words. Who is a sentient being? "Later" means taking a wife and having children, and going to the forest after taking a wife for the son, which is abandoning the wife according to the principles of the Dharma, that is, referring to where the mind is not attached. "Before" refers to someone who has lived at home until the age of forty, and who returns home from the forest to have children and take a wife, and such a person has no desire. "Middle" also refers to not being attached to oneself, that is, turning away from all things. Alternatively, this shows that there is no particular attachment or anger, etc., towards things that have happened in the past, future, and present. What does not exist is what is not. The non-existence mentioned earlier refers to "freedom from dust." This refers to "liberation from bondage," that is, being free from the bondage of Mara. To explain what bondage is and what liberation from sin is, "like a lotus petal" and so on are mentioned. A young man born into the Brahmin caste, even if young, abandons sin and non-food, and when he lives in a secluded place and attains Arhatship, the Blessed One speaks three verses. Water flows downwards. "Like a lotus petal" means that just as water stays on a lotus petal, whoever does not commit sins, that is, because they have abandoned desire. Like the tip of a bamboo pole

Like a mustard seed. That is to say, for example, like a thin rod, that is, the tip of piercing things does not stick to mustard seeds, sins, etc., are not practiced because anger is abandoned. In order to show that respect is eliminated and does not change. For example, two situations, or that it does not change in the circumstances of prosperity or decline. In order to show that abandoning desires will abandon desires by not falling into sins, so it is said that "does not dwell in desires," etc., that is, does not particularly cling to them. In order to show that abandoning desires is abandoning craving, it is said that "all joy in existence has been cut off." It means that joy is the pursuit of existence, and what arises from it is birth and existence, who is the one who has abandoned those two. Or, the joy arising from existence is the generation of craving. Related to the three, such as sins, is shown by three other verses, namely "the moon is pure," etc. When the Blessed One was sitting surrounded by the assembly of gods, etc., when the fragrance of sandalwood was spreading, he looked at the full and immaculate moon from the upper floor. Showing that, the tamers performed many teachings and said three verses. "Like the moon" means like the moon. "Immaculate" means being away from Rahu and the cover of clouds. "Pure" means being complete and without defects. "Extremely bright" means being very beautiful when approaching autumn. "Without fault" means without smoke and dust, etc. Similarly, whoever is not contaminated by sins and evil deeds, etc. "How can one be immaculate?" Because one is away from the defilement of stinginess. "Pure" is because one possesses the non-regression of good deeds of body, etc. "Extremely bright" is because one extremely relies on a good teacher. "Without fault" means possessing thinking, etc., when hearing good words. Or, because one is away from the universally ignorant wrong views, because one has grasped the reality of things, there is no uncertain confusion. Whoever is like that is not contaminated by sins. Therefore, not practicing sins is freed from
