It is not shown. The so-called "making oneself full" means nourishing oneself, so it is self-sufficiency. If asked, "Does it also nourish others temporarily?" The answer is, "It does not nourish others," which indicates the negation of the state of nourishing others that exists within it. The so-called "not nourishing others" means not producing others. Or, it only nourishes oneself, not sons and wives, etc. Therefore, it is possessing solitude in terms of body, etc. The so-called "not nourishing others," this "other" refers to the outside, enemies. And in the ultimate sense, it refers to afflictions such as greed. It gradually increases like water because of being particularly attached to it. The so-called "not nourishing others" means striving to cultivate antidotes such as impurity. Or, "not nourishing others" is because one does not cling to other aggregates. Or, the so-called "begging for alms" refers to the lineage of the noble ones, which indicates the joy of renunciation. The so-called "gods rejoice" refers to Indra being particularly joyful, joy being happiness and desire, thinking, "By all means, I must see him and make offerings, and when will I become like him," and so on. After doing one's own thing, one must show the method of doing other things, and saving is showing that truth, and coming and going are definite words, which show the truth of suffering, etc. The so-called "peaceful" refers to possessing the cessation samadhi similar to nirvana without remainder, and at that time, complete peace will be attained. This shows dwelling in bliss in the visible Dharma. The so-called "constant mindfulness" refers to the union of constantly abiding in the six places, when the eye sees form, the mind is neither happy nor unhappy, but abides in equanimity, which is mindfulness and awareness, very vast. Or, the so-called "begging for alms" indicates being content with meager things such as begging for alms. The so-called "bhikshu" refers to the ordination that abides truthfully. One only makes oneself full.

The so-called "abandoning" means completely abandoning everything. The so-called "not nourishing others" means not engaging in all afflictions. The so-called "pleasing the gods" refers to the benefits of merit. The rest has already been said. To show that one should only be happy with what has been said before, and not with things that have faults. The mention of monks begging for alms, etc. When the monks heard that Indra had made offerings to Mahakashyapa, about five hundred monks began to beg for alms, and so, to subdue them, he said these words: "Not for the sake of reverence, wealth, and desire for fame." Here, reverence is offering, fame is reputation, and wealth is benefit, referring to the way of wanting those things and seeking benefit. If one is not even happy with these, what need is there to mention others? Here, one should give the example of deities like Sudatta. To show that the true dwelling of a monk is by means of right livelihood, and not by means of wrong livelihood. Therefore, it is said, "The monk who has abandoned all desires," and so on. The Venerable Shariputra went to the house of relatives and benefited them by teaching the Dharma. An unfriendly Brahmin could not bear it and said, "Are you deceiving yourself and deceiving others?" Therefore, he said these words: Whatever has been abandoned, having become the object of all desires, is the abandonment of all desires, because one has fully embraced renunciation. A monk is one who has destroyed all inner turmoil, because he possesses a completely tranquil mind. If one becomes solitary, one can uproot the root of existence from its very foundation, as in the saying, "The root of existence, six subtle growths." To destroy means to demolish, that is, to completely abandon. What is destroyed? It is said, "The dust that is in front." What is in front refers to what exists in one's own continuum. Or it refers to the manifest desire of all the world, because without it, there is no attachment to this, and no splendor, which seems like a mockery. Attachment and so on are dust, according to the sutra passage, "This dust is attachment," and so on. In what order is the dust destroyed?
