Seeing that they did not completely abandon him, they urged him, starting from being authorized as a merchant. Previously called "leading". Leading refers to the leader who guides, that is, by practicing the good and non-good of all dharmas themselves. If it is said that because they arise simultaneously, feelings and so on should also be called leading, the answer is: saying "mind is the leader", this relies on the mind itself as the leader. If that is the case, just as the minister does and then the king thinks and does, and the mind uses it, the answer is: saying "mind is swift", the mind runs swiftly, and these rely on it to hold the fruits of karma and so on. If it is said that if one speaks or acts with an angry mind, then speaking and acting are the person who speaks evil words and does wrong deeds. The so-called obtaining suffering refers to subsequently obtaining the harm of intense mental pain. For example, just like a wheel cutting off the head. It is said, for example, that the wheel of a wooden cart runs at night, just like the child of a Brahmin. For example, the so-called cutting off. That is, using the weapons of language to talk nonsense, or saying harsh words, meaning destroying by doing evil with language. The so-called like a shadow, for example, just as the shadow of a tree is connected to the body of a Kshatriya child, following along is going along. The root of all perfection is good speech, and in order to show that an untamed mind cannot hear, it is said that disputes are particularly intense and so on. In Shravasti (舍卫城), a Brahmin named Pippalika Pari reversed everything that all Brahmins said. He came to the Blessed One and prayed: Gautama, please teach me the Dharma, and I will listen. Then he spoke three verses, and after hearing them, he had great faith, became a monk, and became an Arhat. Others say that Chanda Shri was an unresentful minister who killed and

Killing is without any compassion. At that time, Devadatta, in order to achieve his goal, said that if he could cause the death of Shakyamuni Buddha, he would give him three hundred villages. That person also obeyed. Then, he put on armor, took up a sharp weapon, and climbed Vulture Peak Mountain. At that time, among many attendants, someone requested the Blessed One to teach the Dharma. The Blessed One did not speak, but remained silent. After requesting two or three times, the Blessed One said, 'Without faith,' and so on. That person, hearing the Blessed One's voice with five qualities and seeing the perfect form, developed great faith, discarded his weapons and armor, became a monk, and attained the fruit of an Arhat. It is said that this began with taming. To turn other people's words upside down is to argue. To cling to this and regard it as the core is to grasp. That person cannot understand the well-spoken words well because he has a mind to look for loopholes. Or, arguing is an enemy, an enemy of grasping and valuing. With what kind of mentality can one not understand well? It is said that 'the mind is defiled by afflictions,' meaning that the mind is deluded by afflictions and near afflictions, controlled by afflictions and near afflictions, and not tamed. Its sign is stated: 'Looking for loopholes and opportunities,' meaning that this person has a state of mind that exposes and seeks the faults of others. This can be inferred that his mind is defiled by afflictions. So, what is the mind that is defiled by afflictions and near afflictions? It is said 'without faith,' meaning completely controlled by distrust. 'Hate' means corresponding to hatred. 'Disturbance' means that because it disturbs other subtle aspects, it has various kinds of distractions. Or, not generating respect for the sacred Dharma. One cannot fully understand the sacred Dharma. It means one cannot understand the teachings of the Dharma. So, what is the nature of the sacred Dharma?

It is said, "Taught by the perfectly enlightened Buddha," meaning it was spoken by the Thus-Gone One. "Subduing wrath" means that the listener completely abandons all disturbances of the mind caused by afflictions such as jealousy. "Whoever with a mind of disbelief" refers to the lack of faith associated with the mind, and completely abandoning the lack of faith. "Utterly abandoning harmful thoughts" refers to abandoning what is associated with hatred. "He should know the well-spoken" means that he should listen to the well-spoken, because he is a vessel. Whoever is perfect in wisdom is also of a tamed mind. So, who will not become perfect in wisdom? "By the lack of stability of mind," and so on. Venerable one, by what mind or stability does one become perfect in wisdom? It starts from this question. Lack of stability is what exists in this impermanent mind. "Cannot truly know the Dharma" means to be skilled in the words and meanings of the twelve branches of scripture. "One whose faith changes" means completely changing and wavering, that is, flowing quickly, like the water of samsara, changing and wavering in it. His faith is unstable respect. "Will not become perfect in wisdom" means because uncontaminated wisdom does not arise. One wishes to become perfect in wisdom through three causes: entering into listening to the holy Dharma, stability, and the aspect of the place of birth. If these are not present, how can one become perfect? That is to say: "Wisdom unmoving like a brother, Listening to the holy Dharma like a guru, Faith without stain like a dear friend, Whoever relies on this will increase." Or, to show that if an untamed person does not listen to the well-spoken, there is no need to consider becoming perfect in wisdom. It is said, "By the lack of stability of mind," and so on, because for the untamed, the holy Dharma is not listened to, and because it is absent, in terms of the aspect of the place of birth, there is also no faith, which is the condensed meaning. To show that from an untamed mind, even fame like the stainless autumn moon will disappear.
