It is for this reason. Whatever abides in one place is easy to realize, but not what abides in many places. The place and basis of the cave is that itself. Likewise, going with others can be subdued immediately, but those who wander cannot be subdued immediately. Anyone who lives in a village and is visible can be caught, but not those who live in dense forests and caves. Likewise, the way shown by the Blessed One is shown as being able to be subdued. Therefore, whoever tames the mind in such a way will become tame. The so-called liberation is that one will surely be liberated. The so-called "from great fear" means from where one is freed from great fear, that is, from samsara. The fault of the untamed mind is shown. Mention is made of wrong aspirations, and so on. In Rajagriha, a doctor is treating a patient. Soon after, he took a young wife, who ran away. The patient heard the news, got up and ran very quickly, saying, "Did I not find that doctor?" Then he presented him to the king. From this situation, two verses were spoken. Furthermore, the Licchavis of Vaishali adorned a perfect jewel bowl with jewels and so on, filled it with fragrant powders such as agarwood, and offered it to the Blessed One. The Blessed One did not accept it, saying, "The Buddha does not accept a jewel bowl." Then he gave the bowl to other naked ascetics. They asked, "Is this given to others?" They answered truthfully. They said, "If you give me an empty bowl and then fill it, I will accept it, otherwise I will not." The Licchavis were angry and no longer believed him, so they said this. The attitude of resentment here is the enemy. Or, whoever has hatred is discordant, which means enemy. The so-called enemy refers to the external enemy who is extremely hateful, that is, the enemy who opposes. The so-called "will not do that" is in order not to suffer such suffering. Having shown that it directly causes harm.

Harm is done through lineage, and hearing about harm done to parents, etc., is due to resentment towards those who resent, and so on. A wrong aspiration means having a similar meaning to improper attention. "Whoever makes oneself suffer" means whoever generates suffering for oneself. Enemies can only do so much, such as causing one to decline from enjoyment or completely taking away one's life, etc., as stated in the sutras. An untamed mind also causes one to fall into the lower realms. Therefore, one should have great fear of it in this way, not of enemies. To show the benefits of taming the mind, true aspirations, etc. Even parents, etc., cannot bring happiness in that way, let alone other relatives such as uncles. Whoever tames the mind in the right way, oneself is happy, because craving ceases, and one obtains perfect happiness. After showing the faults of not cultivating the mind well, which can cause harm to the body, to show other faults of the mind, it is said how the roof, etc. In Shravasti, a merchant had two sons named Black and Crest Black. The Venerable Ananda ordained them. Among them, Black, due to the strength of external conditions, saw places of suffering such as famine and declined. Crest Black, due to the strength of internal causes, became an Arhat. Therefore, twelve verses were spoken, and Black and many others gained distinction. How the roof means how the house is damaged by wind, etc. Poor covering means that the covering is not strong and has gaps. Rain is the stream of water that comes from the clouds. Completely leaking means that all the coverings are broken, perforated, and have holes, and water completely enters. Similarly, the uncultivated mind means abiding on the path of impurity, etc., and is also untamed. Attachment

All have been completely subdued. The so-called "pervasive attachment of following" means to subdue and focus the mind with the pervasive attachment of following. The so-called "well-guarded" means to guard harmoniously and without interruption. Even desire and so on cannot cause suffering in the cycle of existence to their continuum and mind, this is what it shows. Furthermore, the explanation of the pervasive attachment of following is also mainly due to the truth of the origin of suffering. It is divided into two types by the difference between the state of being in meditative equipoise and not being in meditative equipoise, and the rest is easy to understand. With the two, tamed and untamed, it is taught that whatever little good or bad one does, all will definitely turn into pleasant and unpleasant results. The words "mind precedes all things" and so on are also mentioned in the sutra. The monk Koṭamala gave the alms he received to others first, and then ate it himself, which was ridiculed by Brahmins and householders. The Blessed One then taught: One should eat oneself first, and the remainder can be given to others. Also, a son of a Kshatriya and a son of a Brahmin, being extremely hungry, entered the place where food was distributed. Staying there, the Brahmin's son, knowing the time, first begged for food. He got nothing, and angrily said: If I had power, I would cut off the heads of these people and throw them on the ground. The son of the Kshatriya begged for food later and got a lot of food, and said: Don't say that. If I had power, I would satisfy the monks and sanghas of all the Buddhas with a hundred flavors of food every day. Soon, the Brahmin's son lay down by a tree and was beheaded by a chariot wheel, and this is how it started. Others, also at that time, the son of a great merchant died. They tried hard to enthrone a being with great merit as a merchant, so they searched in the houses of Shravasti and saw a son of a Kshatriya lying by a tree. The shadows of other trees all leaned eastward, but the shadow of this tree
