etc., even if not fully understood, it is for the sake of understanding it. Without turbidity, it is because it is far from the dirt of water plants and mud such as desire. "Excellent" means that when listening to the true Dharma, one should practice with great joy. For those who have complete faith, the word "complete" should be used to express it, which is also to tame the mind. A wise person is one who understands the difference. Just as looking at the great ocean of merit can generate complete awe, faith, and great joy in the mind, similarly, hearing the Dharma, the mind is tamed, one will become intelligent and attain a state without disturbance. In order to explain the benefits of taming the mind by listening to the Dharma, it is said, "Like the sky, without attachment." and so on. Devadatta made great efforts to gather many monks, but it was not the venerable Shariputra, so this verse was spoken. Others are saying praises of the qualities of great protection, few desires, etc., such as the metaphors of the sky, doorsteps, and lakes, and it is said that this was said because of this. The same and similar to the sky, because it has abandoned subsequent attachment and anger. Without attachment means without subsequent attachment and extremely unpolluted, which means the eight worldly dharmas. For example, the sky is not polluted by impurity and purity, similarly, those who are free from afflictions are not shaken by helping and harming, just like the metaphor of sandalwood and axe. In addition, it also shows that even for enemies, those who tame their minds will not hold grudges, showing that there is no change at that time. "Like a doorstep, unmoving." This is to say that the bearing placed inside the city gate, relying on it, the door can withstand it, even if children and others hit it with sticks, etc., it will not shake and will not give up its function. Similarly, even if one is despised by others, one will not give up the benefit of oneself and others. Like a doorstep, it means that the similarity is like this. Unmoving means without change. The wise do not like samsara. Here, a metaphor is used to illustrate.

It is called "Napa Lake," like a lake, like a small lake. If you ask what it is like? It is called "Turbid," meaning that mud and algae and other dirt are completely born. Or, bad people do not like dry water, and those who are tormented by body heat will not enter it for bathing. Likewise, those who are proficient in samsara do not like samsara, because samsara is disturbed by many harms, so wise people do not generate joy in samsara. The explanation of the seventeenth chapter, the Chapter on Water, is complete. Just as all the essences such as flowers grow and exist from water, in order to show that after ordination, all the paths of learning will arise, the Chapter on Flowers is arranged after this. Or, because it has been explained that those who are proficient in samsara do not like samsara, in order to show that for those who do not like samsara, methods such as the path of seeing that desire liberation will definitely be shown, this is shown, that is, "with the gods" and so on are mentioned. A son of a desire realm god asked the Bhagavan with the first verse, to which the supreme Sage replied with the second verse. "Who" means which person. "From this on earth" means the human practitioner from here. "Victory" is to overwhelm, completely defeat, and control, for example, the desire realm gods are controlled by proximity. When the gods and Asuras fought, they wanted to conquer the three realms, so they went before the Bhagavan and asked if they could do it. In other places, it will be felt, which means "will know."

It is the world of Yama, meaning the realm of the gods. Here, it shows the three most famous realms: the nature of gods, humans, and the world of Yama. It transcends the three realms of existence. Sitting on a lion throne, may the Dharma King teach the Dharma. Therefore, to show the aspect of wanting to overcome the Dharma, it is said, "What is the basis of Dharma?" That which becomes the form of Dharma is the basis of Dharma, which is the meaning of teaching the Dharma. Showing that itself is being skilled in teaching, it is well-spoken, that is, not doing evil, not dwelling with those who do evil, striving to do good, and subduing the senses. Therefore, it is the meaning of such words. The Dharma that turns the wheel in such a way, one should add the words, "What is the basis of the Dharma that has transformed in such a way is most desired." What is the example like? Like a flower. For example, a garland maker, skilled in his own work, takes flowers from the garden, arranges the flower garlands beautifully in various forms, and gives them to others. Likewise, that noble one also takes the basis of Dharma from the abundant scriptures, connects them in a sequential order, and proclaims them to the retinue. Most desired
