"Those who have heard also build boats." This refers to those who have not yet crossed over. The monks who come later should fully possess boats. Thus, for a while, the meaning of the verse is shown as it is. Similarly, here too, the meaning should be explained: "Whoever wants to cross over" means wanting to abandon. The river of the sea is the river of afflictions that accomplishes the birth of samsara. This wanting to abandon shows the collection of the parts of liberation, etc., because without this, the knowledge of suchness will not arise. "Roughly built" means having manifested the path of seeing. Abandoning means giving away, that is, the afflictions to be abandoned by the path of seeing. "People also build boats." This means that whoever has thus manifested the path of seeing establishes himself well on the path of meditation, because he abandons subtle increase. Also, by the two paths, one crosses over because one abandons the two kinds of pervasive progressions. The wise one is the noble person. To show the guidance of those who have not crossed over, it is said, "Having crossed over, the Buddha, the Bhagavan," which shows his own appearance. "Abiding on land" means showing nirvana with remainder, because the sutra says: On the shore of the other side, there is the realm of nirvana with remainder, which is its synonym. "Abiding" means symbolizing great compassion, because without it, the Bhagavan does not abide in existence even for a moment. Among them, "The monk bathing," etc., shows that those who are free from desire in the three realms abide for the benefit of sentient beings and abide happily in the present dharma. "Also building boats" means abiding in accordance with the part of ascertainment, therefore manifesting the path of seeing, etc., which is a symbol of those who have entered. Therefore, the monk who abides in the four streams and the four fruits is a pure place, because he possesses knowledge and feet. Therefore, the Brahmins and householders who abide in Barashakarapatralebutralanana offer this as a special field.

It is said that it generates immeasurable merit. In order to show that those who have attained learning and non-learning should tame themselves as taught. The "metalworkers" and others are mentioned. The benefactor of the venerable Śāriputra, a householder named Hero, had a son who, as soon as he was born, had a wonderful divine lotus appear at his feet. He sat there and spoke the verse: There is no field like the Buddha, there is no friend like generosity, even a poor person like me has become rich in this way. Thus it is said. A hundred auspicious signs and a rain of flowers also appeared. His father did not have the opportunity to give gifts, but his mouth was filled with jewels three times. That boy was also named Wise. The king also divided the form of the village for him. There was a famine. The Blessed One summoned him, and he set out to go there. On the way, beggars begged. He also begged for wealth from the nagas and gave it to them. Then, those Brahmin boys were very pleased and went with him to the presence of the Blessed One. They attained the fruit of Arhatship. In this way, the wise one was ordained by the noble Śāriputra. It also shows that the mind should be tamed. On the way to alms with the abbot, he saw a canal. He asked the abbot what it was. The abbot said that these people take water and carry it to their fields and work as they please. Can water without mind be carried by others? That's right. Even without mind, it can be carried and worked. Why shouldn't we who have minds tame our own minds? Again, seeing the arrow makers heating the arrows with fire, looking at the tips with the corners of their eyes, and making them straight. If arrows without mind can be straightened, why can't we who have minds tame our own minds? Again, seeing carpenters planing wood with planes and other tools, they plane wood and other things and make wheels with axles and other things. He thought, without mind

If a wheel can be made from wood, why shouldn't we, with our minds, make our own Dharma wheel? Then, after some time, the abbot took the bowl, returned to his dwelling, and by striving to tame his mind, became an Arhat. The Blessed One, thinking about this, spoke this verse. Washing the field with water means using water to make the field smooth and fertile. The word Nirdzir (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) means clean and fertile. Here, one is not called a bleacher, but a water carrier, a water carrier is one who draws water, that is, a farmer. Others call them bleachers, who wash clothes and so on with alkaline water and so on, making them clean and spotless. An arrow maker is one who makes arrows from reeds and so on. Straightening with fire means heating the arrow and straightening it. A carpenter trains wood like this. It means to fully train the wood. The wise should tame themselves. It means that in order to benefit oneself, one should tame one's own mind. To show that listening to the Dharma is the method of taming oneself, it is said, "Like the great ocean" and so on. The Blessed One was dwelling in the forest of Udumbara, and seeing the great Anavatapta lake there, he spoke these words, beginning with the five-crested boy. Others say that this began with Kaniṣka turning his back on listening to the Dharma. The sea is that which satisfies, it is for thirst and so on tormented by cold, it is the great sea. "As" means in any way. If one asks what the great sea is like, it is said, "Deep" and so on, it is difficult to measure. Extremely clear, it is very clean. Without turbidity, it is free from faults such as mud and weeds. "As" means like that. Here, the Dharma is listened to. It means that the Dharma that is taught is universally listened to and understood, therefore, the Dharma here is difficult to understand, because even Shariputra and others cannot understand its suchness. Extremely pure is Tsirika la
