It is shown by ཀྱིས་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal meaning: by). Furthermore, the so-called practice of Dharma is the doing of all actions. The so-called non-practice is to perceive non-Dharma as Dharma. Worldly activities of knowledge, such as various harms, should not be practiced. If asked how, it is said to be wrong conduct. For oneself and others, striving for the fruit of suffering, that perception of Dharma as Dharma should be stated in the opposite way from the former. Why? By practicing Dharma, one obtains happiness. This means that in whatever way one practices well, that practice of Dharma is a dwelling in happiness. Here, it refers to fame and so on. In the future, one obtains the desired fruit of manifestation. By wrong conduct, one does not obtain happiness. This is to be supplemented with words in the opposite way. By practicing Dharma, one obtains happiness. Why? It is said, "Practice Dharma by Dharma." The root of compassion is the nature of good conduct, which is Dharma. (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal meaning: by) means "nature." Because the person who practices Dharma is not confused by protection, it is not by the power of others' bodies, etc. As it is said: The drunken elephant shakes like a snow mountain, its cheeks moistened by dust; servants also closely wear armor, holding spears, short spears, swords, and other weapons; people enjoy entering the battlefield, but those cannot protect; only the merit one has accumulated can protect in battle and non-battle. Thus it is said. Obtaining enjoyment and happiness is the power of Dharma, which is completely undiminished. Here and elsewhere, it is pointed out here, because it has not been obtained here. It is said, "Good conduct in Dharma," to generate properly and truthfully is good conduct. With faith and reverence as the guide, approaching at the appropriate time, the vast giving endowed with merit, and associating with noble beings endowed with morality, is like that. The so-called "generating happiness" is to guide and accomplish. The so-called "benefit that" is benefit, if one does the aforementioned good conduct in Dharma, it will transform. Furthermore, it is said, "Practicing Dharma does not go to bad destinies."

This is to close the door to bad destinies. This shows the benefits of the afterlife. If asked what the former shows, it is to elaborate on this meaning with metaphors, etc., and to describe it with "a wide umbrella" and so on. If asked how to protect with Dharma, it is like an umbrella. For example, a wide and beautiful umbrella can block the damage caused by rain in summer and protect. Similarly, the accumulated merit can also be free from many damages, that is, practicing the Dharma. Summer refers to the rainy season. Why is it said that "one who does not practice the non-Dharma does not obtain happiness"? Because it is said "practice the non-Dharma." In addition, anyone who acts wrongly, that is, the negligent one who practices the non-Dharma, whether holding or born in any destiny, that is, the destiny of gods, the destiny of humans, or the bad destinies, will obtain it. The meaning of "those who practice the non-Dharma will eventually be destroyed" is that because he takes non-Dharma as his essence and accumulates it, this non-Dharma practice will make him indulge in those destinies, go to destruction, that is, suffer. To illustrate, it is like "here grab the black snake's waist." For example, a traveler who is tired from a long journey falls asleep at night and loses his cane. A black snake mistakenly thinks it is a cane and grabs his waist. When he wakes up, he hugs the snake tightly, but is attacked by the snake instead. Similarly, a foolish and ignorant person who is controlled by ignorance and whose mind is inverted, practices the non-Dharma due to negligence, and ultimately brings suffering and harm to the practitioner himself. Why is it said that Dharma and non-Dharma lead to agreeable and disagreeable results? Because it is said "both Dharma and non-Dharma." Just as harm and benefit are different, their results are also agreeable and disagreeable, just like nectar and poison. Combine the words "will not be the same" and "ripening", because their natures are different, like brown sugar.
