Having eliminated and completely purified through the practice of yoga, because all outward-looking conceptualizations are abandoned. "The absence of conceptualization in all that is internal" refers to the way of entering through observation, that is, all minds and mental factors are without conceptualization, and because conceptualization and examination are abandoned, because relying on the second dhyana, conceptualization and examination are eliminated. "All" refers to the summary and dependence on the main practice. This shows that one is free from desire and attachment from the first dhyana, because it shows that one is free from desire and attachment from the second and third dhyanas. It is called "transcending all bonds," that is, relying on the third dhyana, one abandons the craving for joy in the realm of the second dhyana. Relying on the fourth dhyana, one abandons the craving for bliss in the realm of the third dhyana. Joy and bliss are here spoken of as words of all bonds. It is called "transcending form and perception," indicating detachment from attachment to form. It indicates detachment from desire in the formless realm. It is called "freedom from the four yogas," four refers to the birthplaces arising from the sphere of infinite space, etc. For the birthplace, freedom from afflictions from bondage, that is, the meaning of freedom from afflictions from the sphere of infinite space, etc. Or, freedom from the four bonds. It is called "no birth," because one no longer takes birth anywhere, because its cause has been abandoned. If one no longer takes birth, what will happen? Because one is liberated from all, that is what is declared. "Previously detached" is mentioned, the beginning of this is: "The forest is empty and without trees." That has been explained there. Detachment is abandonment. Previously refers to what existed before, and what should be abandoned in the future is also abandoned. It is called "detached from the later," referring to the past. It is called "detached from the middle," referring to the present time. The dwelling place is also abandoned, because there is no attachment to its object, it is abandoned. If it is completely abandoned, what will happen? It is mentioned "reaching the other shore of craving," that is, reaching the end of conditioned action. Therefore

Now, it is explained: 'The mind liberated from all aspects.' This is said to mean liberation from afflictions and karma. 'Birth and aging will not lead again.' This means that birth and aging will not be attained again, because the cause of attainment has been abandoned. The explanation of the twenty-ninth chapter, the Miscellaneous Chapter, is completed. Because the fruit of effort is shown in the Miscellaneous Chapter, the Chapter on Happiness is shown after it. Therefore, here, verses that have the flourishing of both black and white aspects are mostly explained. Abandonment is shown in the black aspect, and diligence is shown in the white aspect. Therefore, the happiness after diligence is also shown, that is, 'From victory,' etc., are spoken. The origin of this should be observed in the Chapter on Karma. For the time being, it will be explained up to here. In Rajagriha (present-day Rajgir), there was a Brahmin named 'Friend of the Enemy's Father' who knew nothing other than worldly outsiders. Once, he went to the Blessed One and rashly said, 'Hey, Gautama, you are the king, the victor!' Then he spoke two verses, and others say that after hearing these words, he became an Arhat. 'Victor' refers to one who subdues others and is high above himself. From that arises resentment, which is associated with anger and grows extremely. Therefore, I should conquer this, and I should not despise this, and I should completely uproot this root, like the words 'not leaving the enemy's remnants,' etc. Resentment refers to the habit and association arising from harming others. 'Growth' means that I grow through gradual, intermediate, and other sequences. Defeating others brings suffering. This means that anyone who overwhelms others and flaunts is in a state of suffering, becomes weak in physical practice, etc., obtains a state of joy, and experiences and dwells in a state of extreme inner pain. Although both occur in both, they are mostly narrated separately. So, what kind of happiness is attained? The happiness of tranquility is attained.

, if one dwells in tranquility, abandoning harm to oneself and others, it is the state of the senses being content and abiding. If one wishes to attain tranquility, one must, as the scripture says, "Abandon victory and defeat." This statement, like other scriptures, has relevance. Victory refers to the arrogance of self, and suppressing others should also be abandoned, and completely abandoned, because it is the root of suffering, just like defeat. That which can bestow happiness and return from harm, that is happiness and liberation. To show that it is not others, it is said, "By causing suffering to other beings." This refers to creating suffering in the continuum of other beings. "Whoever desires happiness for oneself" This statement refers to anyone who desires and thinks of happiness related to oneself. "Accompanied by inseparable enemies" This statement gives the example of enemies. "Inseparable" refers to harm and injury, and all kinds of suffering. To be accompanied by these two kinds of suffering situations is to be closely tormented by them. As it is said, from victory, etc., it is merely the painful situation of others' defeat. This is to show that with inverted wisdom, desiring happiness, one engages in the cause of suffering. "Now also one will not be freed from suffering" This statement refers to suffering being of body and mind, and one will certainly not be liberated from the complete exercise of suffering and samsara. The previous verse itself shows the difference, that is, "For the sake of seeking happiness," and so on. The Blessed One went to Shravasti for alms. At that time, there was a herd of cows between Shravasti and Jeta Grove. The cowherd was naked, weak, and his neck was broken. He thought, if the householders and farmers cause harm to me, it would not be good. So, when the cows entered the barley field, he angrily struck them many times with a long stick. The Blessed One therefore spoke two verses. Because one is a seeker of happiness, one is a seeker of happiness, because one is infatuated with happiness. Beings refer to sentient beings. "Whoever" refers to fierce beings. "With a stick" refers to causing harm with sticks, etc.
