Having climbed... He gathered many flowers and gave the Mandarava flowers to his relatives. His wife became displeased, thinking, "He gave these to them, but not to me." So she climbed a very tall tree, but a branch broke, and she fell. At that time, the Blessed One was sitting on the shore of Monkey Beach, teaching the Dharma. Hearing her fall, he thought of her, and as a result, she attained Nirvana in the intermediate state. Therefore, all the relatives gathered together and were very sad. In the heavenly realm, a son of the gods also fell from the Mandarava tree and, after being born, immediately attained Nirvana. For this reason, the hosts of gods were also gathered in sorrow, and here the Blessed One spoke two verses. Now, the commentary on the first verse is spoken. "Beautiful form" is mentioned, meaning that it is both form and beautiful, so it is a beautiful form. Or, it is the cause of beautiful form. Pleasure is feeling. "Bound by the pleasure of beautiful form" means bound. For that reason, ordinary people are attached to samsara. What is it? "In the realms of the gods" is mentioned, referring to the hosts of gods such as the Four Great Kings. Each is because the body and mind are of various kinds. In "name and," the word "and" leads ordinary people, and it is also of various kinds. If those bound by the pleasure of beautiful form exist, what will happen? It is said: "Committing evil" is mentioned, meaning that because it causes great harm, it is evil. Because of the act of evil, all sentient beings suffer. The way to practice in accordance with this is the meaning of committing evil. In order to experience pleasure, sentient beings become attached to desire, and for the sake of desire, they commit all kinds of evil deeds. The result of evil is spoken, "Completely diminished" is mentioned, meaning completely exhausted. Because in this world, the complete decay and degradation of the body are the source of suffering, one is powerless, manifesting

This refers to the meaning of not wanting to possess. As it is said: If existence is completely eradicated, all wealth is in hand, if one makes use of it, one accepts commands on the crown of one's head like a slave. It is like that. To go under the power of aging and death. This means to follow aging and death, to take birth again and again, and then to experience death. In this regard, this shows that afflictions and evil deeds are beneficial for taking birth. In order to argue that suffering should be completely abandoned by wanting to abandon it, it is said so. To explain what benefit there is in completely abandoning suffering, and so on, it is mentioned: What refers to which ones. Day and night refers to day and night. The conjunction "and" is to argue for continuous action. Vigilance means to be vigilant, which means to practice the antidote in order to abandon the ugly form. Abandoning the ugly form means completely abandoning suffering, in order to abandon the afflictions focused on that thing. Therefore, it refers to through itself. Uprooting means uprooting from the root. The root of sin means the meaning of lurking for the sake of increasing sin. Mara's food refers to the bait that causes death, food, wealth, and help are different names. Therefore, for those who have not abandoned afflictions, it is easy to obtain birth and death. The root of sin is the cause of generating all sins. Therefore, it is the food of Mara, as it is said: Where there is desire, there is death. Where there is food, there the vulture lands. Others say so. Difficult to abandon means difficult to overcome. In order to show that it is difficult for those who have not subdued themselves to completely abandon all connections, these were said. In order to show that the objects of suffering for children are deceptive, it is mentioned: The way of good and not good, and so on. The Blessed One was dwelling in the Shakya town called Amarakalava. At that time, a woman named Suprabesakrota gave birth to a boy. After that, again residing in the place called Amarakalava

That deity went before the Blessed One and reported: "A girl named Venerable Supratiweśakroṭā has given birth to a boy." The Blessed One said: "Deity, that is not good, it is very not good." The deity reported: "In the world, it is said that giving birth to a boy is happy, and when a boy is born, the mind is also very happy. If parents are old, they can be supported, why do you say it is not good?" After reporting this, the Blessed One said: "Not good and the way of good, etc." Like this, he taught. All these ugly things are not good, because they are the root of all harm and are condemned by the noble ones. That is through the way of good, that is, through good methods, to completely destroy the negligent beings, just like the deceiving carnivorous animals in the water. The way of ugliness means like the way of ugliness or pleasantness. Not ugly means the way of unpleasantness. Ugly means that although the mind is made unpleasant by impermanence, it is deceiving because there is no fault. In the way of suffering and happiness, it means that everything included in the existence of samsara is suffering and has the nature of three kinds of suffering, and if it is appropriate, even so, it is firmly held as happiness. Not good and good, etc., the three verses mean that ugly things are impure, impermanent, selfless, and in the nature of suffering, but even so, they are stubbornly and perversely considered to be pure, permanent, self, and happy, which is what others say. Or, the verses spoken by Devadatta are the opposite of the usual, which is indicated by this answer. When that boy grows up, he will kill his father and mother, cause all castes to become extinct, and all relatives' castes will also be destroyed, and he will cause everyone to suffer. Like this, three meanings are indicated by the three verses of not good and the way of good, etc. Negligent ones means ignorant, because ignorant, they are negligent in things.
