The meaning is to show the faults and benefits of being with and without attachment. "From all sufferings" means from the realms of suffering, which here indicates suffering associated with afflictions, as it is the cause of sorrow and so on. There are also two kinds of meaning: with mind and without mind, which is where craving arises. Whatever one is connected with, enjoying noise and ease, is called suffering. For example: father, mother, son, wife, wealth, gold, jewels, clothes, gardens, and so on. It is said that sorrow arises from separation, abandonment, and destruction from them, meaning that the mind is very distressed and uneasy. For example, sorrow is like a tree that has been cut down and falls, drying up in the sunlight of the hot season. It is also explained: a person whose heart is filled with suffering, even if enjoying nectar, will wither day by day, like a hollow tree. After showing the harm of past events, it is also said of the forms that occur now, "From suffering arises fear," because it is fear, it is fear, meaning that the mind is harmed by the fear of future harm. If one asks why it is not said that fear arises from enemies, it is because the fear of sorrow is caused by the power of suffering itself, so it is not shown that way. Sorrow and fear arise from those very things, why? Therefore, it is said, "If suffering is completely abandoned," meaning that if there is no attachment to the characteristics of suffering as shown above, and if one does not fixate on it, then craving will cease. For those who are free from the desire of the three realms, since they have abandoned all desires, there is no sorrow or fear associated with it. Sorrow and so on, which are associated with painful things, are spoken of in connection with abandoning it. To prove that there are these faults and so on when associated with suffering, it is said, "From suffering" and so on. Some say this: In Shravasti, two sons of a Brahmin, four oxen, and rice fields, etc.,

The fence collapsed and died and was damaged. The wife also died after falling from there while doing housework. After those people died, they became mad and naked due to the damage to the rice fields. Because they were mentally disturbed and wandered around, that's why they said that. It is because of being separated from suffering that it is like that, otherwise it is not like that. Birth is appearance. Sorrow is laziness. Suffering is expressed by the phrase "the aggregates that are the result of all arising craving." Fear is the harm of the mind. Not only do these three arise from suffering, but the meaning of "suffering is impure and becomes other" is absence and separation. Becoming depressed means being mentally disturbed. To be obtained means to be acquired. Because one wants to abandon all harm, these were said in order to guide the complete abandonment of suffering. In order to show other harms associated with suffering, "worldly suffering" and so on were mentioned. A Brahmin went to the Blessed One and asked, "Alas, Gautama, what is the basis for sorrow and lamentation, suffering and displeasure?" Therefore, the Blessed One spoke six verses. "All" means the sorrows and so on that exist in the world. "Lamentation" means the words produced by slight displeasure. "Suffering" means inner illness. If asked what it is like, it is said "various," meaning all kinds. This explains the differences of all sorrows and so on, because each one has endless differences. If asked who this happens to, the answer is: "The world," that is, the sentient world, not the container world, because there is no mind, so there is no sorrow and so on. Relying on suffering means dwelling on painful things. Arising means arising completely. Those means the sorrows and so on mentioned earlier. Why is it like that? Because of suffering.

The word "I" that is mentioned, the word "also" in it means "for what reason". For what reason is suffering abandoned and extinguished, then sorrow and so on will be extinguished, and those will not arise. These two are the nature of cause and effect. If there is a cause, it will arise, and if there is no cause, it will not arise, just like seeds and sprouts. Wanting the distinction of happiness without sorrow, the Brahmin strives to completely abandon suffering, so he said "for what reason" and so on. The word "which is" means "itself", that is, happiness itself. Like this, those are the forms of being free from desire, there is no suffering at all in any realm, because the desire of the three realms has been abandoned. Therefore, "without suffering" means that because such true happiness has arisen, therefore, for those who completely turn towards it and want to obtain happiness, no suffering should be allowed to arise, because all suffering and craving are related to it. "Without suffering" means obtaining the state of no sorrow, which means eliminating all suffering. "Dustless" means being free from defilements, here desire itself is dust, not the dust of the earth, this is the basis of the scripture. "Status" means transcending sorrow, because there is no cause of suffering there. "Seeker of meaning" means universal hope. Or wanting to obtain, that is, practice, that is, wanting to practice. "Should not make suffering" means do not completely grasp attached things. "Whenever" means in any way, whether internal or external, through equal abiding and the place of abiding and so on. Wanting to encounter suffering is to dispel the decision made by the Brahmin with a joyful mind. So he said "do not see suffering" and so on. Never encounter an object entangled by desire. "Whenever" means at any time. Even encountering suffering such as outcasts will cause great harm, let alone Brahmins and so on? That is its meaning. What if one encounters suffering?
