It means 'interruption'. 'There' means 'because of that', because these are obstacles, therefore it is because of that. 'You should individually understand' will be explained below. 'Limb' is a term of address for a lovely person, meaning 'Hey, fortunate one'. 'Individually understand' means to individually know and ascertain. These are obstacles on the path, therefore 'you should individually understand' will be explained below. Having known the faults of being without mindfulness, one should fully embrace it for the sake of happiness, in order to show that those faults do not exist. It says, 'Do not lose mindfulness'. Mindfulness is focused on the nature of the appearance of the body, etc., which is unfailing mindfulness. 'Your' means in your own continuum. 'Do not lose' means do not let it be lost, for if it is lost, all accumulations of the path will be exhausted, and all obstacles will manifest. Therefore, since the cautious one has the nature of dispelling all hindrances, in order to exhort that mindfulness itself should be diligently guarded like life, this is said. These interruptions cause confusion, and in order to apply the antidote, it says, 'Monk with good morality', etc. In the country of Ujjayini, there lived four sons of a merchant. One of them lived in carelessness. The second went to another's wife and behaved badly. The third lived in wrong thoughts. The fourth became forgetful. The Bhagavan (Blessed One) went there, made them his own, and spoke these words in the manner of instructing monks. Regarding 'cautious', you should obtain joy in that, because the root of all virtuous dharmas is caution, as it is said in the sutras. This is applying the careless to the cautious. 'With good morality' means one who practices with beautiful morality, which is good morality, like a beautiful form. Or it means that morality is completely perfect, like a full vase. Or it means that morality has

Having ascended, it is like enjoying food and drink well. This enables the complete observance of morality, because all virtues abide in it, as it is said in the scriptures: For example, sentient beings and forests, as well as trees, all abide on the earth. Likewise, these virtuous dharmas, their arising and abiding place is also morality. Bhikshu means one who is restrained, whoever possesses morality is a Bhikshu, one who has morality is a Bhikshu. This is explained by these words. To perfectly settle all conceptualizations means to skillfully enter into samadhi. Whatever settles all conceptualizations, that is the conceptualization of perfect settlement, meaning all conceptualizations regarding renunciation, etc. This shows the method of purifying morality, etc. As it is said in the scriptures: What is said to be the complete purity of morality? It is that which is not destroyed by unwholesome conceptualizations, and there is a vast explanation of this. Guard your own mind, which means to guard your mind with the power of mindfulness. The noble Shravakas who possess mindfulness and guard the doors abandon all unwholesome dharmas and cultivate all wholesome dharmas, as it is said in the sutras. Because it is a guardian, it is guarded. This shows the method of dwelling in diligence, etc., thereby realizing the noble path, because if mindfulness is lost, one will not be able to attain the stainless path. By relying on and hearing this, all those retinues attained the fruit of stream-entry. About five hundred Bhikshus also became free from attachments, and their minds were liberated from the outflows. Here, the former shows the cause, and the latter shows the result, which should be understood. Because diligence is good morality, and from that is also correct thinking, and from that is correct mindfulness. These were spoken in order to combine the faults that rely on negligence, etc., with those antidotes. Relying on diligence, and the way of wanting to realize virtues, etc.
