This is the fault of temporarily obtaining non-merit. Fear means engaging in improper conduct due to fear in one's own mind. The pleasure that a man enjoys with a woman due to fear is small, it is a small pleasure of enjoyment. This shows the fault of not being able to sleep peacefully. King means the master of the people, the ruler of the land. Great punishment means great punishments such as cutting off limbs. Will be cut off means will be carried out. The word 'and' means including everything, it means this and that are the faults. This is being despised, which means showing faults. If everyone in the world despises it, then the king will hear that and will cut off with punishment. The destruction of the body means after the extinction of the same kind. Being cooked in the hells means being cooked in the fires of the hells such as revival, like fish gathering in hot springs. This shows the fault of the sin of falling into hell. These were said to prevent attachment to lustful misconduct. Mindfulness is the basis of all perfections, so to lead to that, it was said, 'Whoever is happy himself,' and so on. The Blessed One was staying in the Anatha forest of Saketa. Then, the Blessed One went to the city of Saketa for alms with many monks. At that time, another person abandoned the good chariot path and went on the wrong path, causing the axle to break. Then, that person who abandoned the good path stayed alone on one side. The Blessed One, knowing his mind, spoke these three verses to that charioteer. Among them, the first to be explained is, 'Whoever is happy himself' means relying on and realizing that there is benefit, so one should strive, abandon everything else, and there one should not be without self, just like the charioteer will suffer. Whoever wants to benefit himself should observe and understand what and what can bring benefit, that is, this life, the next life, and Nirvana, and observe that one can obtain benefit.

And first, one should aim to be diligent, and the wise should not indulge in it with carelessness. One should not be lazy for the sake of wealth and doing good deeds. If one's own benefit is achieved, then the benefit of others also depends on it and is achieved by it, so there is no need to elaborate on the benefit of others. Here, an example of dissimilar Dharma is shown, like a charioteer. It is said that one who trades with a vehicle is a charioteer, that is, a merchant. How does this person, due to carelessness, smear his eyes with eye ointment, abandon the good road and go on the wrong road, causing the axle to break, and realize this in his heart? What is the charioteer like? It is said, like the word "child," he is a fool. Without ignorance, one will not become lazy in doing things. "Teaching" means not being lazy, for those who want to fight the army of demons, to know the difference between virtues and faults, and for firmness. It is said, "Do not be lazy," meaning do not be lazy and do not make little effort. It is said to place long-term dwelling and indulgence in diligence. In order to clearly explain this example with two verses, it is said: For example, a child's vehicle, etc. Here, the first line of the verse, "Thus, having abandoned the Dharma," reveals the nature of indulgence. The word "child" reveals the basis of indulgence, because ignorance is the cause of indulgence. The rest reveals the faults of indulgence. The previous verse reveals an example of similar Dharma, which is the summary here. For example, it is "how." "Child" means weak wisdom. "Good" means that many people walk, without faults such as stones and thorns. "Abandoning" means "discarding." "Great road" means a wide road, meaning the king's highway. "Walking in bad roads" means relying on and dwelling on roads with faults such as stones, thorns, and dust. "Blind" means the eyes are blind.

English
What exists is eye damage, meaning that the wheel of the chariot is broken. To be immersed in it means to be immersed in it and feel sorrow. If asked, how is one immersed in it? The answer is, it refers to the mind being immersed in it, that is, the discomfort that exists within is the mind being immersed in it, meaning being burned by the fire of discomfort. What is taught here is that because of ignorance, one loses the chariot, leading to the arising of all faults, just like abandoning the king's highway and choosing an extremely bad road, thus leading to such harm, and the chariot's eye is damaged, making it impossible to heal. It burns the continuum, and that is the mind. Similarly, abandoning is also mentioned, that is, abandoning like that. If asked, what is abandoned? The answer is, the Dharma is mentioned, meaning good conduct, good rebirth, and the means of liberation. The so-called "following non-Dharma" is like evil conduct, strongly committing to the cause of falling. If asked, what is that? The answer is, it is a child, that is, a fool. The so-called "entering the power of the Lord of Death" means following death and depending on the Lord of Death. For example, a child's chariot is like a person who abides in the Dharma of negligence. Just like the great good path, it is the Dharma that enters into good rebirth and is related to it. Just like going to the evil path, it is non-Dharma. Just like the chariot, it is the self's object that is born from it. Just like abandoning the great good path and going to the evil path, the chariot is like this, which refers to a person who abandons the inner Dharma and enters into non-Dharma. Just like that eye is damaged and the mind is completely burned, what should be done now? The mind is immersed in it, and the heart feels regret, unable to heal. Just like a person who abides in negligence, when entering the power of the Lord of Death, they cannot abandon it, and the heart feels regret, thus suffering destruction, that is, complete decay, because they cannot obtain the fruit of manifest desire and fall endlessly. If asked, how is one destroyed? The answer is, it is mentioned "like eye damage," which refers to the mind that likes brevity.
