Possessing fearlessness and innate wisdom. Because he himself possesses power. If understood, what will it become? It is said: "Diligence" is mentioned, which means abiding in diligence. To show the benefit of that state, "great joy" is mentioned, which is the very joy of obtaining satisfaction and contentment. Because it possesses the certainty of vast virtues and obtains meditative absorption. To show that mindfulness meditation precedes, "the realm of the noble ones" is mentioned, which is the realm of the Buddhas and the sons of the Buddhas, meaning abiding in the four mindfulnesses. Therefore, the Blessed One said: The four mindfulnesses are the realm of the noble ones. What is called joy is manifest joy, that is, knowing the taste of the teachings, showing that others cannot take it away. To show that diligence and the path to liberation are difficult to obtain, these were said. Diligence is the abode of immortality. If it is shown like this, what is it like? In order to show it in order here, "constantly meditate on this" and so on are mentioned. This was said to subdue the monk Shonaka. Shonaka, diligence is the basis, whatever virtues are obtained arise from diligence, and the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened Buddha also obtains enlightenment through diligence. Therefore, you should not be negligent in virtues, until (the text) says so, and bestowed this verse. Here, the meaning summarized by samadhi is, practicing samadhi, and the method of practicing samadhi, and the result of practicing samadhi, and accomplishment and bliss.

That is what is said. That is, by naturally generating good thoughts, relying on mindfulness, one attends to virtuous spiritual friends. Therefore, one respectfully and attentively listens to the attendance that is in accordance with yoga. Having listened, one thinks about it properly without reversing it. In order to attain samadhi through the stages of cultivating wisdom arising from listening, etc., one will meditate. The so-called "constantly entering" is constant because it is constant. It is for the sake of constantly practicing that meditation. Is it impermanent in winter and spring, etc.? No, it is for the sake of practicing without interruption, until the ultimate end. This shows that it is precisely to do it constantly. The so-called "overcoming others steadfastly," steadfastness is not lax. Overcoming others is having interest in something. This shows practicing without laxity and with respect, because even with all disputes and harms, diligence will not diminish. The so-called "is touching" is that which will be attained. Here, touching is also of two kinds, the path and nirvana. Among them, here it refers to nirvana itself, because this will be mentioned below. Steadfastness is having intelligence, because "overcoming others steadfastly" shows that it is precisely having these means. For what reason, one will not fear or be lazy until steadfastness. The so-called "nirvana" is the end of suffering, that is, cessation. The so-called "accomplishment and bliss" is wisdom. The path that precedes the correct view accomplished through effort is accomplishment. The bliss attained by it is the nirvana of accomplishment and bliss, because it is forever separated from all destruction. The World-Honored One also said that worldly meditation is a kind of nirvana, and that it is supreme up to the continuum of the peak of existence. This is very special, and it is said to show the difference, the so-called "unsurpassed." Not knowing the faults of carelessness, mindfulness is the basis of all benefits, and these are said for the sake of embracing. Abandoning carelessness is a superior benefit, it is great.

To indicate the reason for this, it is said, "When the wise one," and so on. By teaching the Dharma to a child who lives by bad karma, by means of upright giving, to liberate him from the impure body of bad karma, and to place him on the right practice, thereby especially attaining the truth, it is said thus. Some say that having abandoned great and vast enjoyments and having gone forth, through practice, having become free from desire in the three realms, it was spoken under the power of the great light-protected noble one. The first two lines of verse indicate abandoning the dark side and relying on the bright side. The third indicates its fruit, the perfection of wisdom. The remainder indicates its benefit, which is the summarized meaning. Heedlessness is the loss of benefit for oneself and others, it is ordinary. Or there are four kinds, namely not guarding life and strength, mind and afflictions, by actions that do not accord with right conduct. Knowing heedfulness, the opposite of the characteristics of heedlessness, is abiding in heedfulness. This can clearly illuminate heedlessness, because it is a remedy that accords with it, like a lamp in the darkness. "When" means at what time. "Destroyed" means completely abandoned. So, through what can one destroy? It is said, the so-called "wise one," the wise one is awakening, it is the meaning of learning. To indicate the state of not learning, it is said, "wisdom mansion," and so on, as it is said, relying on heedfulness, as indicated, is abandoning heedlessness. By especially doing this, one will attain the wisdom of not learning. Wisdom is like a mansion, because it is situated above all, and because it becomes very delightful. Climbing means reaching. Having climbed, in what way does one do what? It is said, "sorrowless," and so on, what is free from sorrow, that is sorrowless. This makes me see freedom from sorrow, because it is free from all suffering. So, how does he see others? It is said,
