Nadu. "What is this that the mind holds onto?" This refers to the characteristics of transformation previously shown, which are strongly held onto by foolish children. "Their hatred does not subside." This means that the cause of their disputes does not come to an end. By preventing them, the verses of the white side are spoken. "They speak harshly to me, they scold me." and so on, which are easy to understand. Why is it that the very cause of anger and holding grudges does not pacify the holding of grudges? Here, it is said, "In this hatred," and so on. Assuming that a yakshini has possessed a woman, this is spoken. That yakshini said, "If you give up hatred, I will give you up." and "She does not give up," and so on. Because one can overcome her, this is spoken. Having heard that, the yakshini was subdued. "No" means negation. "Pa" means why, because dirt does not remove dirt, and darkness does not dispel darkness, because they are of one nature. Likewise, here too, hatred, which arises from remembering harm, by that which is the cause of disturbing the mind, that is, by that very means, it is impossible for those with hatred to be pacified or removed. Here, "in this" means the desire realm. Because there is no hatred in the higher realms. "Never" means at any time. If so, how can it be pacified? "By patience" is spoken, meaning that by patience towards the harm of others, there is no hatred, just as a lamp dispels darkness. Is it shown only by the present application? Or by past conduct? "This is the nature of Dharma" is spoken. This shows that the absence of hatred is also included in the number of those who have completely pacified hatred, and it is always present. It was not done by the Buddhas of the past, because it clarifies the nature of the holy Dharma. To show that the wise who see the faults caused by hatred do not harbor hatred anywhere, it is said, "Hatred never subsides with hatred," and so on, meaning that hatred is never removed by hatred, just as impurity cannot remove impurity, the nature of Dharma is its very nature.

The nature of that place cannot be eliminated. If so, what will pacify it? It is those without hatred, through patience, love, and generating compassion, etc. The fault of not being able to eliminate hatred is called "blood feud," which is related to hatred. Harm means not benefiting sentient beings, meaning it causes bad reputation, etc., and is the cause of bad rebirths such as snakes and ugly appearances, etc. Therefore, one should never harbor hatred with that very cause, because the wise desire benefit and happiness for themselves. Holding grudges leads to falling into extremely terrible evil realms, so if one can obtain it, one should always rely on the holy one, to show this reason, it is said "steadfastly abiding" etc. In Rajagriha, a young man named "Life-Sustainer" had two sons, and both of them obtained permission, one of whom ordained from the group of six monks, and the other ordained from Kapila. One of them fell due to the fault of bad friends, and the other did not because he relied on the holy ones. Therefore, starting from that incident, two verses were spoken. If one can obtain, it means if one wants to avoid such things, one should seek the holy one, if one can obtain it. The so-called "wise friend" means protecting oneself from evil deeds through constant actions and respectful practice. The wise are cautious, and because his friend is great, he is a great spiritual friend. The so-called "practicing together" means being constant in one place. The so-called "steadfastly" refers to the wise, because he does not change and can understand his qualities. The so-called "completely suppressing all afflictions" refers to the afflictions that leak from all sides, which are not necessarily eliminated by tools such as measures, but are eliminated by not striving, and are eliminated from all attachments. The so-called "should also practice" refers to relying on a wise friend, and if asked how, it is "with a joyful mind," that is, with a satisfied mind, because one sees his special behavior.
