These are the subtle distinctions of what is called "Ra". "All" means everything, because it has abandoned the forms of all lands. Or it refers to smallness and so on. Therefore, again, because one has examined and abandoned sins, it is said that "because of abandoning all defilements, one is called a Shramana," and he is the complete Shramana, not others. This is the meaning. If asked, why is the name Shramana used for Brahmins and so on? The answer is because "abandoning sins" and so on are mentioned. The Brahmin Meiskin asked the Bhagavan: "What kind of person is a Brahmin? What kind of person is a Shramana? What kind of person is a renunciate? Please explain this to me." And so on. Therefore, this verse was spoken. Abandoning means who abandons and destroys what? Whoever destroys sins, he is the one who has abandoned all defilements from afar, abandoning the mind that delights in sins or delights in desires is a Brahmin, not merely wearing the Brahma thread. "Acting peacefully" means that all defilements are pacified, therefore there is action, with a compassionate and empathetic mind, whether it is for the benefit of sentient beings or for one's own benefit, he is the true Shramana and acts peacefully. "Completely abandoning the defilements of oneself" means that because one has cleared away and abandoned the defilements of the mind and near defilements, etc., one is called a renunciate, not merely abandoning the household life. This shows this point. The explanation of the eleventh chapter, the chapter on Shramanas, ends here. The true Shramana depends on the noble path, therefore, in order to understand the chapter on the path, it is explained after that, that is, it mentions "when is the noble one" and so on. The Bhagavan said in the sutra: "The noble truths of the noble Shramana are four," and then he spoke these three verses. In order to obtain the undefiled path, the truth of the noble one, therefore he can truly realize suffering and so on as they are, not ordinary people who grasp things upside down. "Four" refers to

This number is taught in order to realize from within the means of what should be taken and abandoned, and thus attain liberation, not like the number of insects and so on. These are also suffering, origin, cessation, and path. Among these, suffering is the five aggregates of clinging as a result. Its cause is origin. Cessation is liberation. The path is the eightfold path. These are the stages of manifestation. First, like seeing a disease and its cause, absence of disease, and indicating medicine. Seeing is individual realization, called wisdom, because the path of seeing first produces it. When is when, meaning the time when one is in the state of forbearance in following knowledge on the path. To show the result of the path of seeing, it is said, "By knowing this path well." At that time, this yogi attains the path of meditation, because the sixteenth moment of mind is the path of meditation, so it is also realized after that. The difference of the path is, it is said, "Completely cut off the craving for existence." The craving for existence, that is, the saying that craving is of three kinds. Completely cutting it off is abandoning, because it depends on seeing the truth, so it is free from desire from the three realms. To lead to seeing the truth, these are said. After showing that the benefit of seeing the truth is beyond the world, for the sake of the world, it is said: "Raising up is destroying." Wind refers to the entry of wind oil. Dust refers to the dust on the ground. For example, it means measuring with examples. Like calming down when it rains, it means that if a stream of rain falls from the clouds, it will calm down. Conceptualization becomes peaceful, which means that in this way, in the minds of ordinary people, the results of the suffering of bad destinies are accumulated, or conceptualizations such as desires will become peaceful. When seen with wisdom, it means at which stage, when the truth is realized by the path of seeing, because coarse and bad realizations are abandoned. The path of seeing

Regarding its cause, it has been said: Wisdom is the main thing. This means that the wisdom that can definitely distinguish is the main factor for all sentient beings in the world, because it enables one to attain the noble path. To explain its cause, the word "because" has been spoken. The world refers to the five aggregates with defilements, therefore, it is the most important. That is what definitely distinguishes. This means that because it is definitely distinguishing, it is definitely distinguishing, meaning the path of seeing. That is to say, it will definitely distinguish, it makes one understand, attain, and guide the path of seeing. This way is the four parts of definite distinction, such as warmth, etc., or what is the excellence of the Dharma? It is said, "Who knows well." It should be known that the yogi knows impermanence, etc., in a non-inverted way, which will become the cause of the wisdom of definite distinction. From that, warmth arises. From that, there are words such as the sixteen objects of the four noble truths. If you ask what will be known? Birth and death are completely exhausted. This means that birth and death are birth and death, the two truths of suffering and the origin of suffering, because it is the nature of the aggregates of close grasping, so that is a synonym for birth and death. Exhaustion, this indicates the cessation and the path, exhaustion and complete exhaustion are cessation. Because this causes it to be exhausted, it is exhausted, that is, the path. Birth and death and exhaustion are the reduction of opposing classifications into one, therefore, this is the meaning of the four noble truths. By virtue of it, one can realize the truth, and apart from it, worldly wisdom has no ability. Because the part of definite distinction itself is similar to the noble path and has the same nature, and is a conforming cause, it is expected to produce results. If it is said that it is born from an unequal cause, then that is an equal material component, but the nature is not equal.
