It is said in the Pādo. As for "those who wear robes," the robe is a Dharma garment dyed with colors. Whoever wears it means that they only hold the appearance. There are many Tshimbu, what are they? It is mentioned "those who wear robes," meaning that this is a sinful Dharma. For these people, the cause of sinful Dharma is sinful Dharma, which is wrong view. Being harmed by wrong view means that the mind is declining, meaning that this Dharma is false. "Not truly subdued" means extremely unsubdued, meaning the poverty of body, speech, and mind. Having shown the decline of one's own benefit with half a verse, in order to show the decline of others' benefit, it is said "delighting in sin." The meaning of "delighting" is to proclaim and speak of sinful Dharma, meaning to show and explain "Pa" to others. This person is very sinful, having been plowed himself, he plows others. "Sinful one" refers to the sinful actions done by oneself, the "Pa" on the body acts in a wrong way, those who have passed away, it is taught that they are evil destinies, going from this world to there, which is going to evil destinies. In order to explain that the cause of being a practitioner is the decline of discipline, which leads to the decline of both worlds, it is said "on the Sal tree"'s "Pa." Then, the village chief named "Bad Behavior" reported to the Blessed One in this way: "Oh, Gautama, for those who commit evil deeds with their bodies, what will their destination become?" He reported "Pa." For this village chief, if he completely destroys discipline, he will have his throat cut and will be reborn in hell, it is explained up to this point, and this was said. "Whoever" means for whomever. "Extremely immoral" means having extremely sinful behavior, meaning that because of committing the final downfall, discipline declines and is universally present. How is it? Like "as vines entwine the Sal tree," for example, just as the Sal tree is entwined by vines, the "Pa" on the body

Having the nature of acting with improper attention, one completely diminishes oneself with immeasurable and boundless immoral conduct. That is how one treats oneself. The so-called "That is how one treats oneself" refers to an extremely immoral person rubbing oneself in that way, causing oneself to manifestly achieve in the hells. The so-called "wanting to treat like an enemy" means that this person hates and dislikes oneself, wanting to connect and encounter unease and suffering. Similarly, an immoral person also does not want to treat oneself in that way. This is illustrated in this way: in any case, one does not want to connect oneself with the distinction of happiness, but wants to connect with the distinction of suffering. Therefore, from the perspective of abandoning the vows and precepts of a renunciate, one is not praised in this world, and in the next life, one connects oneself with suffering. Only those who possess qualities such as morality are called elders. Any renunciate is not an elder, and in order to show the ultimate meaning, lineage is not an elder, hence it is said, "Injured, the head becomes bald." The Blessed One was staying under the Viratiṇadera Bicumaṇḍa tree in the country of Vertu. Then, a Brahmin from the country of Verati, one hundred and twenty years old, afflicted by old age and decrepitude, grabbed the corner of the Blessed One's Dharma garment and reported: 'Gautama, when you see very old people, why do you not speak respectfully, prostrate, rise from your seat, spread a seat, and so on?' The Blessed One said, 'In the world including the gods, I have not truly seen such a Brahmin.' Gautama is without taste. Who can count the number of Brahmins? I am not without taste, because I have abandoned form and sensual pleasures, do not closely enjoy enjoyment, likewise do not indulge in many, and have abandoned the aggregates of existence. For example, Brahmin, how many domestic bird eggs do you think are hatching? Brahmin, from which of those domestic bird chicks does the beak or toenail first peck out of the eggshell?

How should one call the one who split open and appeared first? O Gautama, that is called an elder. Likewise, I too emerged from among those, splitting open the shell of an unripened egg, therefore I am the eldest of all beings. From then on, two verses were spoken. Others, being with some old men, mock the teacher in the same manner, calling him 'So'. Others say that there are three kinds of elders: the elder of lineage, the elder of convention, and the elder of Dharma-nature, of which the latter begins from oneself. An elder is one who has become old. 'Still not understood' means that it does not change merely because of that. 'To become' means merely by such characteristics. 'White head' refers to the sound of the head becoming white, because this person's hair has turned white, saying that he is an elder is not that meaning. If one is not an elder merely by that, then what is it? Is it a child? That is called a foolish old man. That is what is said, why is it said that way? To explain that reason. That is, youth has passed. It means that the age of the body's state in relation to time is youth, and here, this youth has fully matured and changed, which is passed, and this person's actions and so on have become diminished in ability. That is called a foolish old man. It is said that foolishness has conquered old age, and old age has obscured the meaning. Because the one who accomplishes virtues is an elder with meaning. Or, conquered by foolishness, evil deeds have deprived him of his ability. Through this, it is also denied that the elder is conventionally called in the world by the differences of lineage, appearance, wealth, and so on. Because there is no ability, and it is not the nature of virtue, therefore, through this, it is correct to consider the elder of other lineages. To explain the elder of Dharma-nature, 'whoever' and so on are mentioned. 'Whoever does good' is the karma of the fruit of happiness. 'Sins' are the karma of the fruit of suffering. 'Having abandoned' means to fully conform.
