DTG148 0002.There is no fault in that, and there is no suffering in the other shore. Called Bodhi Armor, diligently seek Bodhi. The wise speak clearly....g2.0f

Thus I have heard. As previously stated, due to weak diligence, not only will faults arise, but also the desired results cannot be given. To illustrate this, it is said, "The work of weak diligence," and so on. The son of a laywoman, having fallen from the precepts of the eight-branched uposatha, was seized by a yaksha. Then, his mother, remembering that yaksha, spoke two verses: "As long as the fourteenth and fifteenth days, in this eight-branched uposatha, one maintains mindfulness and discipline well, the yaksha should not cause harm, I have heard it is reasonable." The yaksha said, "What is heard is very good, it should be so." Therefore, she said, "Release the yaksha." That yaksha also released him, and spoke three verses spoken by the Buddha. Then, that laywoman took her son to the monastery, had him ordained, and diligently aroused renunciation, and ultimately realized the state of an Arhat. "ཇི་སྙེད་ཅེས་བྱ་བ། (Tibetan)" means all. "ཞན་པའི་ལས་བྱས་ཞེས་བྱ་བ། (Tibetan)" means losing interest in various activities. (Tibetan)" This sentence should be connected here. The activities of worldly people, such as plowing fields, herding cattle, serving the king, etc., if not done regularly and respectfully, the results are very small, let alone the activities that transcend the world, such as not being diligent, etc., what more needs to be said? (Tibetan)" means that if one slightly violates the prohibitions of untimely food, etc., or does not truly observe all defilements, becoming impure, then "དོན་ཆེན་འགྱུར་སྙམ་མི་བྱེད་དོ། (Tibetan)" This sentence should also be connected to this. Or, the asceticism of all defilements refers to serving the fire of externalists, etc., which is completely without results, this is what is to be explained. (Tibetan)" means that here the discipline of the path's constituents is explained as brahmacharya.

Or, it relies on the excellence of the merits of discipline that are completely exhausted in samsara. Do not think that it will become a big deal. In conjunction with this, actions and so on are generated by irrationality, as stated. Therefore, one will not obtain the vast fruit of manifest desires. Not only will it not become a big deal, but it will also become a cause for falling into the lower realms. How is it? As it says, "Like an arrow." For example, holding an arrow incorrectly means holding it loosely. The hand is the hand itself, meaning the doer. "Severed" means divided into two pieces and causing injury. "The ascetic's guard is wrongly done," in which the reason for being called an ascetic is that discipline is referred to as an ascetic here. Or, in this way, the holding of discipline is not well guarded, or not well received, so it is wrongly guarded. "Leads near to hell" means leading to the lower realms. As in "Like an arrow held well," and so on, it is easy to understand. Because it shows that it is difficult to completely guard the ascetic without understanding, it says, "The ascetic is not skillful," and so on. Monks, it is difficult to cross over, which means that for ordinary beings who do not possess learning and wisdom, ordination is extremely difficult to cross over. Why is that? Monks, because ordinary beings who do not possess learning and wisdom are close to and live in villages or towns, once they see a woman who generates attachment there, they will generate clinging and attachment, extensively speaking. When tormented by conceptual thoughts, they will abandon and renounce the training. Therefore, these two verses were spoken. Because it must be crossed over with suffering, it is difficult to cross over, difficult to pass. The means of obtaining it is because it is difficult to obtain. Difficult to endure means not easy to endure, because it depends on the difference between friends and places. Or, because it is difficult to measure the depth, it is difficult to reach the other shore. Because the other shore of the ascetic is difficult to obtain, like the ocean.

Its other shore is liberation. The so-called "difficult to endure" means that it is difficult to endure because it is endured and tolerated with suffering. Because those who have not subdued themselves cannot endure constantly guarding at all times and places. Staying in this, joy is not only temporary, and it is difficult to reach the other shore in the end, so the word "and" is said. Here, "virtue" refers to the precepts of complete renunciation. It also has two distinctions: conventional and ultimate. What is difficult to overcome and difficult to endure? The so-called "not knowing" means being completely ignorant of the suchness of things, that is, not understanding its essence and appearance, etc. What is it like? It is said, "Many sufferings will arise." It means that countless harms will arise for renunciation, that is, the cause of decline. As it is said: "Accumulating and living by looking at other people's faces, not respected by people like evil people, ragged clothes, far away from relatives and friends, like smoke abandoned at the end of the forest." The so-called "which" refers to when those who are overwhelmed by unbearable suffering. Cowardice means ignorance, because there is no distinction between merit and fault, as it is said: "For renunciation, most people become very unfamiliar because they are not accustomed to it. Following the greed of desire, they are deeply attached like a cliff." The so-called "regret" means retreating from that, and unpleasantness will arise, that is, I will become so pitiful. Completely guarding virtue is not only the purity of wisdom, but also the cause of taming the mind. Wisdom and taming the mind will make those complete, and in order to show that, it is said, "How should behavior be done," that is, in what way to enter. For what? For completely guarding the precepts of taming. The so-called "the mind is not restrained" refers to (restraining) from the evil thoughts of discrimination and things that should not be done, which is the remainder of the sentence. The word "ni" means "if," that is, if the mind is things that should not be done and...
