If one does not turn away from the ways of conceptual proliferation of desires, and does not engage with correct conceptual proliferation, how can one claim to be a renunciate? How can the conduct of a renunciate be called pure morality? That is the meaning. This shows that if one is disturbed by various conceptual proliferations, one's morality is not pure. If the mind is not tamed, how can one be capable of the conduct of a renunciate? Because it is said "again and again," meaning to strive and practice, that is, in situations such as confession. If it is connected with regret, that is, connected with sadness and displeasure, how can one be capable of intermediate conduct? Why would he always regret it? It is like this: "Goes under the power of conceptual proliferation." That is, various conceptual proliferations such as desires, that is, going after desires. Because one goes under the power of other conceptual proliferations, one goes under the power of afflictions, and afflictions destroy morality. To show that if someone has not tamed the mind of a renunciate with wisdom, then he delights in evil, therefore it is said: "Renunciation in evil, delighting in evil." etc. In the land of King Prasenajit of Kosala, there was a Brahmin named Paripṛcchaka, who took on many ascetic practices in a strange way and also made renunciations. He abandoned his own wife and became attached to other people's wives and prostitutes. His wife also became attached to other men and exhausted his wealth. He did not obtain anything from taking jewels and so on, and he began to speak harsh words. She also beat him. The king, together with the Blessed One, went before the Blessed One and asked: "What in the world delights in evil? What delights in dwelling at home? What delights in enduring suffering? What is the accumulation of suffering? Having carefully examined, what is it that goes from here to the lower realms?" The Blessed One granted his request and spoke two verses. Having heard these, he generated renunciation, and then renounced and became an Arhat. Others, in the great forest of the vast land...

It is said that this started from disliking a shepherd boy becoming a monk. The so-called "faulty ordination" refers to the lack of perfection in ordination, that is, the ordination abandoned by one's own merits. And its merit is to properly uphold and protect, and to attain liberation by generating distinctions such as impurity. Among them, the so-called "excessive joy" is because it is far from the love of extreme praise, that is, it does not make the hearts of the saints rejoice. Because the completely guarded and equal ordination will especially generate love, just like me. The so-called "those who commit faults" means that what should be created is what can be created, that is, completely generated. Because it is difficult to achieve due to complete generation, it is called "those who commit faults." Because it is an entrant, it is an assembler, because it dwells truthfully with all decay, so it is the meaning of "the reason for decay." What is it? It is said "at home," which means taking a wife. As it is said, sentient beings rely on family to take a wife in order to obtain a son, not for desire. A woman who behaves badly cannot be satisfied even by the gods. Because of special attachment, one dwells, that is, for the sake of parents, children, and so on, one often dwells at home. Or, whether one lives in a painful family or dwelling, it is the same. The so-called "excessive joy" should also be quoted here, because there is no family that can be grasped without fault or pain. The so-called "suffering depends on pride" means having pride, that is, being in a state of being with self-grasping, that is, relying on pride. Because it is with it, it will bring pain, and pain is torment. Also, "cyclic existence increases suffering." The so-called "cyclic existence" refers to life, that is, the result of accumulated karma. Because of torment, it is suffering. Monks, the manifest accomplishment of cyclic existence is suffering.
